Re: WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper - thinking about you every day and sending hugs too.  Remember to take care of yourself, thats so important.

This is such a tough time - my Montague passed away this morning.  It was time and I am at peace with my decision but man, this sucks. The Vet and her staff were so wonderful to both me and Montague. My house now feels so empty and quiet.

Not to take away from @bopper 's grief at all as yours is so much more than mine.  My heart goes out to you as you've had so much to deal with these last few months.

Morning, everyone!

@JudyL, so sorry you had to let Montague go!  I hope you have lots of pictures to go along with your beautiful memories.

Re: WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning,

@JudyL I am so very sorry about Montague.  Losing a pet is one of the worst things we experience, in my opinion.  Especially when we have to make that decision.  He was a good cat and I know you will miss him so much.

I have a dance lesson today and will teach LaBlast tomorrow.  I guess I was 'fired' from the other sub job I had at the other studio.  They got someone else to sub Zumba for them. Which I guess is fine--it didn't pay a lot and it was a drive for me.  I just wish they would have said something about it.  And who knows what is going to happen at my own studio.  I found out that the new 'marketing manager' wanted to cancel all the group classes and put other group classes in their place.  I said that was the quickest way to lose students.  Especially those of us that have attended the fitness classes for YEARS!!  I guess the new guy has really ticked of the owners of the other studio, so we'll see how long he lasts, because he's kind of an ass.

I did get my workout in yesterday.  My trainer is moving across country (I've worked out with him virtually since the pandemic started) and he won't be available next week.  I have to be better about doing something daily.

I did get a cruise booked for my mom and I because we had about $1600 in cruise credits we had to use by the end of the year.  I'm actually kind of glad because it gives me the excuse that I don't have to go to AZ for Christmas.  Flights are so expensive around the holidays.  I got cheap flights out to LAX, but coming back, they were almost 250 bucks for that leg.  Both my mom and I had flight credits, so it was about $200 extra for both of us--so that wasn't bad.

I hope you all have a restful weekend.  We need some good things to happen.

Re: WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hey, had a Celebration of Life this afternoon for dad at our sons camp.  About 40 people came and it was a nice family and friend gathering and a beautiful day.  We lucked out on the weather.

@JudyL  I am so sorry to hear about Montique passing.  It does create a big hole in your heart!  Losing a beloved animal is our family!!  Big hugs to you!

I'll get the November thread going because if I don't I may forget as we have the burial coming up next.

Re: WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Sunday!  Trying to carry on but it's hard!  I did do an hour of exercise today, reformer, pilates chair, and Cellerciser.

So much to sort out, waiting on insurance to see where we are in his house.   I went in today and took about 20 pictures.  Pretty horrible to say the very least.  Burial Tuesday.

Today is 70 outside and tomorrow much of the same so I'll take it!

Keep going everyone!

Re: WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning!  Wow--last day of October--Happy Halloween everyone!!

I did a 30 minute lablast class on Saturday because only one person showed up.  But it was good because I had theater tickets and I wasn't as rushed trying to pick up my friend and get back downtown.  We saw Aint Too Proud to Beg--the story of the Temptations.  It was SOOOO good!!!  Loved the music and the actors had fantastic voices.

Speaking of teaching--apparently, the other studio that I was subbing at removed me from the sub list and didn't bother telling me.

Tonight I'm doing the groov3 class. It is the last time our favorite instructor is teaching--we think.  I think I told you all about the drama of the studio owner up and moving to Florida and expecting his husband to just agree to the move.  It has been a mess--the owner hurt a lot of people by just up and moving and then a month later, announcing that the studio had been sold.  They are having a 'going away' gathering at a local restaurant on Friday, which is the same night as the studio's monthly dance party.  I'm going to support the other studio so that they continue to keep the location nearest me open.

Hope you all have a good day!!
