Good morning all! Well it's almost afternoon here in CA
Went to the gym this morning. Only did 10 minutes each on the bike and the elliptical. Think my knee was hurting because I overdid it so back to 20 minutes on those machines for this week. Did all my weight machines except for one. Can't remember what my trainer set the numbers at so will wait till I see her on Friday.
Have one errand to do which I will do soon and then the rest of the day will be at home. At first I thought I'd do the errand tomorrow but then remembered there is a storm coming in tonight so figured I might as well do it today.
Not much else to report. Take care!

@bopper those Stablicers are on Amazon- you can at least get a pic of them- and there are many styles of other brands.
Sorry about your Mammo appt. Get in the right frame of mind to do it and wham- things change thru no fault of yours. Just another notch in a rather bleak medical system.
@Dazlin I had a good time with my GS.. We did the usual stuff- but I think he likes that it's " our thing" and we're " buddies".. I am going to see this Sun. too for awhile. My son has an appt in Denver.
I missed the aurora borealis last night and from pics it was vibrant here. Possibly tonight but we have lots of clouds today.
Only walking today and not as far as normal.. Met my weekly friend for coffee.
@JudyL you're doing so good at the gym!
That's it from me for today.

Thank you @violet runner for the encouragement. I sure needed that today as I did NOT want to go but made myself go anyway. Of course, I felt better afterwards and told myself on the way home to remember that the next time I don't want to go.

Just a walk today....41 minutes. Body complaining ...had to argue with self 🙄.
Puttering around here today...some laundry and put away fall decor.
Starting to put out a few Christmas decorations.. I usually do after Thanksgiving, but im seeing everything Christmas, T.V. commercials, stores, a few houses here too...so looking at my snoopy light up pumpkin didn't feel right anymore, lol.
I washed my hair with Keilhs scalp detox, and a deep conditioner and gave myself a trim.
Think thats going to be it today.
Have a great day everyone 🌞

Hello, the sun is shining, yee haw!!! I'm heading outside to walk in a few minutes. I made my son a pan of brownies for deer camp, and took my rebounder out to my deck for some bouncing in fresh air.
@violet runner thank you I'll check those out, and also for the mammogram melt down I had. Sounds like you and your GS are good buddies and that is so fun. I may have my Gd on Saturday while my son is hunting. Although she'll be on her phone the entire time no doubt. She seems like 9 going on 19!
Meeting a friend at 4 at her house for coffee. Other than that not much to say here.
@JudyL glad your backing off the machines and only doing 20 minutes until you are sure your knee can handle it.
I missed all the Northern Lights because it was cloudy here, but some folks here captured them, must be clouds and breaks or something.
11-13-2025 02:35 PM
@bopper I was told to have used my phone to capture the northern lights- as brightly as some did. I guess that helped many- take a picture of it. Not sure the logistics behind it. but a few people told me to. I tried it last night with no luck. Maybe why some in your area got lucky to see more clearly.
Its a beautiful day here- but a tad too windy. So warm I walked without a jacket , hat, gloves etc. Not bragging- we desparately need moisture.
I made the homemade chicken soup.. Mainly to freeze but dinner tomorrow too. Like to let it sit a day after I make it.
I need to get on the stick and start getting Xmas gifts. I only have my 2 grown boys( men) and my GS, but I also have 3 important bdays in Dec- which I do buy gifts for. Would like to be done before the end of the month. @Dazlin any ideas for gandsons?? Of course he wants electronics.. but I am not buying that. Thinking of buying activities or experiences.. Movie tickets, aquariums, hiking/ with lunch, dinner etc.. and maybe 1- 2 toys.. @bopper know you have grandkids- any input appreciated.

@violet runner .. .my grandson loves Legos...action figures.
Magna Tiles is another creative toy...its colored tiles that magnetically connect, so they can build anything. My GS usually builds some shape then puts his super heros inside...Magna Tiles are pricey too.
Also any super heros you GS may like. He just picked 2 Super Sonic figures.
The game Zingo is a good fun game too.
Prices are insane....1st toy he picked at Target was 3 hero figures, $60.00...they do nothing, GS says, oh yes, you make them fight.
Anyway, I gently persuaded him to pick another toy...we do discuss prices, and he's pretty good about being cooperative.
So 2 super sonic heros, $30 bucks, 🙄.
We get the Amazon booklet for kids toys for Christmas....he literally circled just about every page, except girlie stuff...YIKES!!
Have fun...let us know what you get...I haven't started anything yet either.
@bopper ....sounds so good you bounced outside...good thinking 😄
I called a friend today...I really need to go see her and another friend soon....im verrrrry bad, I seem to put that off. Gotta make it happen.

@Dazlin Thanks for the toy suggestions- My GS has legos, the magnetic tiles, and action figures.. And like you I am shocked at the toy prices. He did voice when I was watching him the other day he wanted an XBox- yeah, right!! HA!
It was so warm here yesterday, when outside I didn't need a coat.. Our weatherperson says cold front coming next week.. For now, I'll bask in the warmth.. Walked quite abit at eh rec enter early plus weights, and then also a nice outdoor walk later on.
Mostly errands today - Hope everyone has a nice day heading into the weekend.

TGIF, fitness peeps.
I did my Core class before work today and I spent a good deal of my workday yesterday working with ChatGPT to create a weekly exercise, protein, and meal plan for seven days.
I then went to Walmart to get some of the food stuff I don't normally have since he went high protein which is meat and some other things.
Apparently I am making tofu stir fry a few times because it's high protein and good for my age group. I also said I don't like seafood, but my buddy Chat talked me into a beginner's recipe for salmon so I bought that too.
I need a Youtube channel or a TikTok video for what's about to go down in my kitchen this weekend. If you hear fire engines, run.
I am a pretty decent cook, but protein is not my usual thing and I had to look up what tofu even was. Chat also wanted tempeh which I could not find so we are sticking with tofu.
The rest, chicken, turkey, and beef strips I know. As soon as I am done posting this, I am sending the bill to Chat too. It wasn't horrible since I am one person and I was at Walmart, but still! I justified it as my holiday meals this month.
I also bought a couple more blender bottles for my protein powder and the smoothies he wants me to make and a new cushy yoga mat. I love my current one, but I've found as I've gotten older I need more padding. I'll put this new one under the old one.
I took Monday off because I need a break in a big way. I couldn't hold out for Thanksgiving. I even took this morning and ran to Walmart to buy all of this. It's okay. It's a slow day.
I went to a check out girl since I had a cart full and she asked Siri to call someone and talked on the phone while she checked me out. LOL
Got to love the young ones, but I could say nothing since I was currently playing hooky from my job too, not that I ever would. She was fast and quick and multitasking her little heart out.
I say if you can run to Walmart and shop and do your job like me or check out and catch up with your girlfriends at the same time, let's do it!
I also have some new sheets coming tomorrow to redress my bed. I am in a renewal phase of life. I might run to Target to grab a new comforter. The one I wanted from the Q is now on special so I may do that instead. We'll see what Target's got first.
Hope everyone is having a good week and has an even better weekend. I need to wash a car and maybe get my park hike in. I've done nothing this week in that regard.
Enjoy!

Hey all, it's a decent day here and the snow is almost gone, yay!!! It;s 48 outside.
@violet runner my grandsons are 6 and 8 and they are into Monster Trucks, Dinosaurs, big jigsaw puzzles like 500 and 1000 pieces. I may order a custom one and put a picture of them when they were here playing in the leaves, then they can do that puzzle. My 8 year old grandson had his one framed of a lion. They are also into the Xbox games and I think for one, they are to expensive and I'd rather they do something else. They have literally every toy made to kids!!
Hubby is deer hunting. My son in CO shot a beautiful Mule deer yesterday, his first deer ever, even when he was living here and deer hunting.
Got my groceries, I also ordered new sheets and a comforter. I have a few gifts bought, hubbies are done, both sisters are done, I have the grands to do. But my 9 year old GD I'll give gift card too, she likes that, and my sons and DIL's trying to find a combined gift and thats even hard.
I'm looking now for a Softshell jacket, it breaks the wind, breathable, and good for in the car.
Pass on any ideas here too, I'm open to everything! Have a lovely day everyone!
