Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hi, everybody.  Thundering and light Last night kept waking me up. Glad it wasn't storm intensity, though

Looks like everyone is doing ok.  That's a blessing.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hello everyone, it's pouring rain here and in the 40's.   Been raining and foggy all day.

I did 2 miles on the walking pad, some rebounding and vibration plate, with Pilates mixed in.

I think everyone is nervous for results today.   Seems people are on the edge.  I get it!

I have Christmas music on in the background.  It gives me peace and calm.  2 more days and out comes the tooth.   Ughhh then thinking how soon can I eat somewhat normal?   And this too shall pass right?  I'm such a baby!

I think I need to do more purging of stuff I am not using.   I look around and even though I like it, someone else will also like it.

Stay strong everyone!

Hi Everyone!  Had a busy morning today.  Finishing up with 4 loads of laundry, did some chores around the house.  Then made a chicken and penne pasta casserole.  It's called "spaghetti casserole" and I've made it the usual way many times.  This time, however, I decided to make it with chicken and penne pasta.  It made enough for 4 meals so I put 3 in the freezer and will have 1 tonight for dinner - thank goodness for LocknLock!  Will keep the other 3 for when my DD has gone home post surgery.  It'll be easy for me to take out of the freezer and heat up.  Will make a couple other recipes for the freezer but will do those later in the week.

Now I'm watching football.  @bopper - tough call on the Lions player being ejected.  Have to agree with the commentators that I didn't think the call was justified.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

It's pouring in Green Bay!  Those poor players!  Must be very dedicated, hardy fans to be there in that rain.

So agree with you on the ejection.   I mean how often do you see them ejecting someone.  Glad we at least pulled it out in the end!

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper  Thinking of you today as you will be at the dentist.. Your soup sounds perfect for the after appt.

We had 3 inches of snow yesterday. and it's a "balmy" 28 as I type.

Heading to the rec center to do my weights and some walking.

Wanted to come to say I hired 2 cleaning ladies and they are coming this morning for the  deep cleaning-   I finally said yes.. Hope they do a good job.. And  I will have a cleaner house ( hope- hope) than I have had in a long time.. And this should last me through the holiday season..

Plan on walking and probably hit a coffee shop after they get here and I feel comfortable leaving. My DH is heading to his man cave in the basement.. We are not having the ladies clean down there.. We need to declutter etc. before that might happen.

  Have a peaceful day everyone.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@violet runner - Saw on the news that some areas of CO got hit with some snow and wondered if you did too.  My cleaning people came yesterday and did a good job.  They didn't quite understand when I said that I just wanted the bathroom and kitchen done and I found them clleaning the 2 bedrooms.  Had to tell them not to do the bedrooms and just the bathroom and kitchen first.  Think there was a misunderstanding because of a langugae issue.  Anyway, they were here for 1.5 hours and did the kitchen, bathroom, and then dusted and did the floors in the diining /living room area which was fine as I had said if there was time I would like that done too.  Had planned on them being here 2 hours but they were done in 1.5 hours so that saved me a little bit of money.  Hope all goes well with your ladies today.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, well I made it!   Thank you for the well wishes.   He was an older guy, not much personality but he did keep asking if I was okay.  He said he hates pulling teeth that have had root canals as they have a tendency to break apart and are fragile.  I have 3 stitches which will dissolve and he didn't expect any infections.  He wrote out a script for pain meds, said to start with a half, as they can make one dizzy.

So just chilling now, I did get mashed potatoes from KFC so I can eat that, eggs, pancakes, anything soft, no hot coffee today but can have luke warm if I need coffee.   So one down and 1 to go next week ( mammogram)

It would be nice to have a cleaning lady do the down and dirty stuff, like bathrooms and floors.   I don't mind vacuuming though.

Thanks again everyone!

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper - glad your dental appt went well- AND is over!! Now to heal.

I guess I didn't read your fear of Mammograms.. That will soon be over too. Is it more wating for results or  the actual test.. I am with you.. not a fan of any kind of medical appts.

@JudyL  and others-  The ladies came to clean yesterday.. Were here 6.5 hours!!!! Orginally not estimated that long.  I am thrilled with the results.. My house has never been so clean ( since move in)  They even cleaned the lightbulbs!! I could go on with all they did- suffice it to say- it was money well spent. And I could see doing it twice a year.

I hope I can keep up  the cleaning now that the place is in tip top shape!  They did ask for another $100 since they were here almost all day.. I didn't hesitate. There is something so satisfying having a super clean home. As you can tell, I am pretty new to having my home cleaned by someone else.

Our basement is next on our list- its unfinished and has become a catch all. Told my DH- it's a winter project- I honestly think we could purge half the stuff

Yes, we also had snow yesterday.. and more predicted today.. Not really sticking- and made the roads wet.  Much too early for all this.

\

Plan to get a walk in today.. I do have winter sneakers I can wear if need be.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning everyone!  Hope everyone is well and that @bopper's extraction is healing well.

@violet runner, so how much was your cleaning bill in total?  I had someone that was recommended from my village forum come give me an estimate and she is not a company.  Her estimate was vague and low...really not an estimate since she just said starting at $100.  I said to her wow!  That sounds unreal.  So she said she'd call me when she got home with a date.  She texted much later saying she got caught up with her kids and doing dinner.  So I'm skeptical.  She said she could do the job Wednesday, the 13th.  I texted back saying that would be fine if she's sure she can make it.  I didn't hear back so I don't know what's going to happen.  I wanted the cleaning before Thanksgiving.  My village is always saying help the village stay financially sound by using companies within.  I've had successes before, I'll admit.

Mammogram and bone scan later today...painless.  If I'm told I've shrunk more, I'll scream!  I used to be 4 ft 11am a half.  Now as of my scan two years ago, I'm 4 ft 10.  My spine has issues.

Have a great day everyone!
