Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

My sister just called and told me our mom had to call 911 because she was having trouble breathing and was getting very weak. She's at the emergency room now. I hope it is just the crud and that they can give her something to help her.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, all.

@MickD and @bopper , I hope your sons are doing much better and @DrKelli, I hope the news about your mom is good as well.  Wow what a weekend for you guys.

@DrKelli , I loved watching the videos, in particular the ones with you in them..  I'll go back later when my eyes are opened wider to really look, lol.

I'm going to my senior cardio class this morning.  I'm happy to say that my weekend was uneventful.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Thank you all so much!  I really liked Survivor--the one that was filmed on the bridge near downtown Denver.  The thing that made it kind of difficult is that you had to do 'sections' of the song, so you would literally start in the middle sometimes and have to know what choreography went with which part.  But it was fun and I think it turned out great!

My mom has pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital last night.  She also has a secondary issue with blood in her stools--evidently that has been going on for a month.  I was so mad that she hadn't seen a doctor for that!  And she just saw her oncologist--she should have brought it up then!  In any case, I talked to her for a few minutes and she didn't sound horrible--she didn't sound good though.  At least she is getting antibiotics and oxygen and she's in the best place she can be.

Today I will do a lablast class.  I was also going to walk, but it's pretty chilly outside--I may do that later, if it isn't snowing/raining.

Hope you all have a good day!!

@DrKelli you go girl!  Just watched the videos and you did great!  You look fabulous!

Keep us posted on your mom.  I know you must be worried.

@bopper hope your son is doing ok being quarantined.

@MickD is Steve feeling better?

It is so very cold here today - I know those of you on the East coast and in Denver are probably laughing at that as I know its no where near what you get but it is 38 degrees outside!  Thats cold for us!  LOL

Better get back to work

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hey everyone, this morning I did about 45 minutes and then some rebounding and a dog walk.  Our last day of warmth today.   65 now and I love it.  Tomorrow the bottom falls out rain turning to snow.......

@DrKelli  I hope your mom has a complete recovery and the antibioics help!  How scary for her and you and your sister

@JudyL  well you aren't used to a lot of chill there!

@MickD  Glad Steve is better but yes I would be keeping an eye on him too.

My son is still fine.   He was at his cabin since Friday but had to come home today to watch his daughters and the wife has to work.  It's unfortunate but I don't want to babysit in case they do have it and have no symptoms.  His company doesn't require a negative test to go back to work and I think that's weird.  His co worker he was working with last week is just achy but his wife feels worse.

Guess I'll do a little email catching up.   I get so many!!!!!!!

With everyone dealing with illness or otherwise I send big hugs!

Steve is doing better.  He worked 6 hours last nite and had no breathing problems.  Is working a short shift tonite...3.5 hours.  Not even worth going in, but he seems to be fine.

@DrKelli I hope your mom gets better soon.  I'd kick her kuttuckus in for the blood in the stool.....oh boy.

Cool day and I got my arss out on the trail.....after almost 2 weeks of nothing.  Ran 5.64mi/ 1hour 4min.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hi everyone--it's still chilly here, but we didn't get much snow.  Thank God!

I did LaBlast this morning--we have a holiday tomorrow, so I won't have to trudge across the hall to my office.  I  just got an email that they are suspending our parking downtown (because no one is using it), so that tells me that we will be working from home for awhile.  I need to print something, so I'm going down on Thursday morning to do that.

My mom is still in the hospital.  She sounds better today, bu she says she's not feeling very good and that she is tired.  She is supposed to have an endoscopy today (she's probably done by now).  They did an echocardiogram yesterday and said her pneumonia is in the right lung, which is unusual.  They also said they saw a mass but they don't know what it is.  Hopefully it is like when I had a 'mass' a few years ago and underwent a CT scan and it was not there any more.  They can't treat her heart issue until the pneumonia is gone.  She thinks she will be in the hospital for a few more days and is trying to get a care plan in place between my sister and niece.  I told her I would come, but I would have to bring the dogs and my 'office' and drive down there, but she thinks she can get it done between the people who live in Arizona.

Hope you all had a good day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hey everyone, it's crappy today.  38 and rain and and dark all day.  I knew it was coming!!

I did an hour on the TG using upper body and squats with 20 lbs of added weights on the weight bar, then did the reformer and walked.  Started off with a rebounding session to get the lymphatic system going.

@DrKelli  I hope you mom finds out about that mass.  Kind of scary and her heart issue gets taken care of also.

@MickD  glad Steve is doing better.  What crazy times these are.  Our hospital is packed in ICU now between Covid and others needing ICU care!

I walked in the rain this afternoon also.  I put on the rain gear and rain boots and out I went.  I said I have a dryer to dry my wet pants, I have a rain coat and hat and boots and I have 2 strong legs.   I am going and I did!  Boom!!

Dinner time so better get going on that plan.   Have a good night!
