Happy Sunday Funday! It's dark and rainy here, and also have a hard time with the time change. Why can't they just leave it alone. I already have Hallmark on and watching Christmas movies.
foxxie I agree, and know what you mean about the little ones running the show, and new parents, sigh.......... my son's baby has cohlic real bad, he cries all the time so I hope by the time we get there that is better.
nomless glad you are here, frankly I also have not much to say so ramble....it's okay. I hope you like your eye shadows. I saw Mally is in Kohls now. I'll have to look, that's about the only decent store we have here. Glad the feet are better and that trigger finger slowly gets better too, that sounds painful.
Nothing much planned for us today, football and that's about it, this weather is terrible, to rainy cold and wet to do anything.
Waving to Dr.Kelli, Laura, MickD, Lucy, Judy, Tony ( wink wink), and any lurkers, we're just here to enjoy each others company, share fitness and life! God Bless!

Did 3.5mi/just under 45min on the treadmill.
Have a happy Sunday everyone!

Good morning fellow posters. Yesterday was supposed to be stormy and I feared for my son and his family traveling to the airport. Weatherman couldn't have picked a better time to be wrong. There was just a slight drizzle off and on. They got home safely and all is well. I'm so grateful that I got to see my baby girl while she was little. She won't remember but I will. Such priceless moments.
@bopper, I understand your traveling hesitations...I feel similarly.
I hope all of you had great weekends like I did. The only smear was hearing about that awful shooting. None of us lives in isolation.
Ok...back to reality. Walking, my senior cardio class and my strength and motion class are on the agenda for today. As much as I've eaten, I need to workout all day, lol.
Please enjoy your day.

Got up really early thanks to the time change and other things. Have company coming in today for another few days so I walked around my house and got about 3000 steps in before work.
Have a great Monday.

Good morning, all! I was awake extra early this morning due to the time change, but rolled over and pretended to go back to sleep.
I got an email first thing that the gym has no power and that they are closed until futher notice, so I may not get a workout it today until I get home.
Yesterday I made "Mississippi Pot Roast" (no, I don't know why it is called that). It is super easy and THE best pot roast I've ever tasted. It's made in the crock pot and you need a chuck roast, 1 package of au jus mix, 1 package Hidden valley ranch dressing mix, 1 cube unsalted butter and 4 pepporocini peppers. Sprinkle the roast with the dry mixes, put the butter on top with the peppers and cook on low until done. The recipe says to NOT add liquid, but I did because I'm at high altitude and I'm glad I did--just a little, like a third cup.
I'm getting excited to leave on my short cruise--but I'm super busy until then!
Hope you all have a good day!

Hey all, it is sunny here, hooray. Cold but sunny, I'll take it. My dad said to me Geeze it's cold out, I went down to mail a letter and it was really cold, he's wearing his baseball cap and lighter weight jacket. I told him I went for a walk and it was nice, of course I have my fleece jacket and hat on and gloves... He said he knew he wasn't dressed warm enough.
Foxxie I'm glad the family got out okay in the weather. I worry about that also leaving in December from here, the snow country
I had trouble going to sleep last night, I was still awake at midnight, which was like 1am old time. You'd think it would be the opposite tired earlier but nope. I just don't like it dark at 5 pm or earlier, lack of sunshine can get to me sometimes.
Dr.Kelly did you have bad weather that took the power out? Pot roast sounds wonderful and agree at higher altitudes you should add some liquid.
Mick D how you doing?
Laura, how long did you say your company is staying? That can get stressful too. I am staying with my son and DIL and the baby for 5 days and even that will get stressful, he's OCD and I am not...
Well, time to get the laundry out, have a good day!

You guys are walking around in snow and we are setting warm temp records here. I still am struggling to wear my fall/winter clothing.
@DrKelli I am so making that! I am looking for comfort food recipes because I am so stressed and that sounds wonderful.
@bopper My mother and her husband constantly use my house (it's actually her house she's my landlord) as a hotel and they barge in at least once if not twice or more every month. I am over it and I told them so this past year especially since I am paying rent but they don't care.
Now she has a health issue discovered in the past two weeks which she is going back to the doctor for tomorrow (they refuse to get new doctors in FL) so she is coming up again after just being her last week and the week before that.
This is different and, yes, I know I am going to a hot place for it but I've been caretaking my mother and/or her responsibilities since I was 8 and I'm kind of done. Especially since she has a husband who is well, well off financially.
My hope is she has something very manageable which the doctor really thinks she does but will know more tomorrow. And then I think it's time to make plans to move away and find my own home and start my new career.
Sorry for the vent. I've been crying all weekend trying to picture life without a mom cause I know it's coming hopefully many more years down the road. Not having a private place to regroup after a stressful daily job and now this has kind of got me upside down and all out of sorts.
The good news is that Mrs. Rudeness will probably be at the gym tomorrow to make my week even more special. With any luck, I'll have a good post tomorrow. ![]()

It's the best yet! God must have known today was going to be a rough day so he gave me entertainment and then some this morning. ![]()
Grab the coffee and some breakfast and start your day off right! ![]()
So I walk into Pound at 4:45am. There is a strange mat and backpack almost where I usually set up but not quite. The mat is set up for a class that happens on Friday. It's Tuesday. No one is around so I set up around the invisible person.
My friend walks in and sees the set up and asks, "Did they change classes?" I told her I thought this person was just confused and we had a good laugh over it.
So the class fills up and still no phantom Friday person. Finally, she arrives. We'll call her Heidi since she was an older girl with two big blond pigtail braids and a ball cap.
She is obviously a relative of Mrs. Rudeness who was MIA again because she starts warming up with leg circles and kicks that would make Jackie Chan proud. What is it about me that says do your karate moves here?
There is also a new girl who set up in front of me who must have mistaken her husband's aftershave for her deodorant. I thought I was in the middle of an Old Spice commercial a couple times during the class minus the hot guy.
Oh and no Thriller. The instructor says she took out the Halloween music because today it would just be weird. You think? That's why we should have done Thriller last week! She did promise us Frosty from last year would soon be reappearing. Oh joy.
But now, the real deal. I mean stop drinking your coffee and get ready. In my over 10 years of going to this gym, I have never and neither has anyone else.
So Pound ends and Power starts right away. They took out the 15 minute break between classes to help the people like me that need to rush off to work. That means we've had some newbies show up. Oh and there was a newbie.
So we are halfway through the warmup and look across the room and there is an older woman (I mean probably 50s) with no shirt on. You read that right. No, nada, nothing, shirt on. ![]()
She is naked except for a tiny and I mean one of those tiny string workout bras that is holding up practically nothing but is not meant to be a crop top because it isn't a top. At all. It has two triangles and two strings haltered across the back. It's a definite UNDER A SHIRT piece of apparel.
She paired this with a low rise almost translucent spandex bottom. Guys I would have taken a pic but I really didn't want to horrify my phone not to mention it would be beyond rude. This woman did not have the age, body (top or bottom), muscle tone, or finesse to carry this off. She just forgot her shirt and was hanging out literally all over. The cherry on top was her white underwear peeking out of her black spandex.
The woman in back of her was rolling along with her daughter. I mean we've all made mistakes getting dressed in the dark to come to a gym at 5am but it's usually our shirt is inside out, our pants are backwards, the color scheme isn't the best, but we've all managed to remember all of our clothes!
I am hoping she didn't start a trend because I don't think I want to be in a nudist Power class. Dropping a weight would have a whole other meaning.
I swear you probably think I make this stuff up. Personally, I was going to ask if one of you sent her to cheer me up. If you did, thank you. If I smoked, I would have lit a cigarette after this morning's two classes. Thoroughly satisfying and entertaining!!
I am almost scared to see if this woman returns on Thursday Power. Let's hope she remembers all of her clothes. I don't think my eyes could take another showing.

Good morning ladies. @Laura14, I understand how you feel about your mom.....you love her but, hey, relatives can get on your nerves. Your place is not a hotel, lol. I hope her diagnosis is good.
@bopper, oh gee....December is a very if-y month for travel alright. Hopefully the weather won't be like 2013 and 2014.
Ladies have any of you ever attended a timeshare promotion? I made a booboo last night and agreed to one. It was done when I was making reservations for a Red Hatter event. When I told my husband, he said that he hates those things and didn't want to go. So I'm thinking that I can cancel it but upon doing research that I should have done in the first place, it looks like this type of thing is not eligible for that 3 day buyers remorse cancellation rule.
This is a good question for 'Community Chat' but sometimes posters get too serious over there ( @Laura14, you know what I mean, lol). Anybody know if I can get that charge off my credit card or will I just have to eat that $199? It's three nights and four days and after the presentation, you get the money back so basically your room is free. You have a year to attend.
Cardio, Flexibility and Zumba this morning. Have a great day.
ETA: Duh... I just remembered. We have a Travel Forum now. I'll post on there.

@Mmsfoxxie Don't let anyone charge your card for something you are unsure about. You never know what you agree to when you allow them to hit the card and, while I've had very good experiences with my credit card bank, you are kind of at someone's mercy for something that's non-merchandise like that. I personally wouldn't do it. It's not worth the potential fight with my finances. I believe law is 60 days for disputes but they may need to be legitimate and it sounds like you authorized this.
And as for Community Chat, they are lucky I post over there. Can't get this sense of humor anywhere else online. LOL ![]()
