Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning.

Went to the gym this morning.  Earlier, before I left for the gym, I was scolling through Google and saw some chair exercises for abs.  Thought, I can do those!  Wrote them down so I'd remember how to do them.  When I came home from the gym, I tried them.  Yeah, uhmmm, they were a bit harder than I expected.....  Know my abs are weak but didn't realize HOW weak.  Egads.  There were only 5 exercises so it doesn't take long to do them.

Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.  At least it's sunny and a nice day.  A storm is expected on Wednesday.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Did almost thirty minutes on the bike while watching a bootleg version of my soap tonight.

My QVC delivery shockingly never arrived. It's now scheduled for later this week even though supposedly it's in Atlanta.

After this, I am HSN only. QVC just can't get it together for me. I refuse to wait two weeks for a shipment. My credit card wants me to pay for it already and I pay for nothing until I have it.

Seems like everyone has the week kicked off. Have a good night!

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Well, @Laura14 - still no ESPN or ABC- I guess the Utube streaming and Disney don't think negotiating is urgent.. Have contemplated dropping it for awhile just on principle. See what the week brings. Was happy to check and see Dallas lost night..

I walked and did chores around the house.. and this morning its weights at the rec center.. and it's supposed to be in the 70's so think I'll get out in nature somewhere.. I have some groceries to pick up. Still haven't  pulled the trigger on delivery..

Have a good day everyone.. Election Day. There wasn't much on my ballot this year.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@violet runner Completely agree. I honestly don't watch anything anymore other than my soap because of just this reason. I'm tired of other people's games.

I don't pay for it since it's included in my rent. Starting later this week, ABC wil unlock the episodes I missed on their website and I'll just watch it that way a week behind for free. When I do move, I will never subscribe to anything.

I honestly watch Pluto tv for free most days or regular Youtube. I also started buying cheap DVD sets of the classics I love and I watch them instead. No one can take those away from me.

I think I might go walking this afternoon after work. I don't think I am going to go through the woods. I will stay on the paved paths and wander that way with my Kindle.

Either that or I may start a second challenge. We'll see.

Have a good Tuesday all!

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hi everyone....another walk this morning,  went out at 8:45,  did 40 minutes of a brisk pace.   Great weather, was in 50's this morning, bright and sunny...in 70's now.

Foot still not too good, but better than before.

I put memory foam insoles,  definitely helps.  Also adds a nice bouncy feel.

Did the barn/stalls 1st thing ...then the walk.

Vacuumed and got a load of kitchen towels laundered.

Just finished watering all the plants outside and roses.

Going to take a break now.

Cooked him breakfast, but he's not feeling well,  so im waiting for him to get up, then ill see if he's going to want dinner later.   Not sure if it's vertigo, but he said he's very tired and Bosco woke him up to go out at 3:30 am....thats my chocolate lab 🐶

Anyway...its been a productive day so far....hope my fitness buddies are doing great!🏋‍♀️

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning!

Went to the gym and did cardio only.  Did 12 minutes on the elliptical and 14 on the bike.  I'm not to the sweating phase yet but I did increase the incline & resistance on the elliptical and the resistance on the bike.  Let's say I'm at the glistening stage.  HAHAHA  My goal right now is 30 minutes; ultimate goal is 45.  So I'm getting there.  Slow and steady wins the race.  Maybe that has finally sunk into my head as I'm usually gung-ho out the gate and then burn out.  This time, I'm increasing things slow and steady and not burning myself out.  I'll get to my 45 minutes of cardio and be sweatin' soon enough.

Afterwards, went to the grocery store and am now home.  Will hunker down until Thursday as a storm is supposed to be here tonight and through most of tomorrow.

Hope everyone enjoys their Tuesday.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, today is gloomy, guess yesterday's sun has come and gone.

I did 30 minutes of Pilates reformer today and 30 minutes of stretching/yoga.  Feels good.   I got my 10,000 steps in yesterday but won't today.   Some days when I do things other than steady cardio, like my reformer I don't get in the steps and that's ok.

@Dazlin hope your hubby feels better, I'm sure he wasn't happy being woken up at 3:30 in the am though.   But I get it!   My sisters horse now has an ulcer in her eye, so she's getting eye drops every day now.  Seems it's somthing all the time with this horse.   Feel bad if she's in pain and can't tell us.

@JudyL you're doing good, adding in more minutes on the machines.

My husband got the all clear just 2 months after major back surgery.  The PT lady said no need to come back, the last thing she asked him to do in proper form was a 30 second plank.  He did 2 minutes!!  Haha....  I really think when you go into surgery fit, you heal so much faster, and also do your PT at home like you are told.

My neighbors have the leave people there and it's loud!

I wish I had a PB cookie haha!!

Have a good rest of the night!  I'm already stressing over my mammogram next Wednesday....

Hi everyone, beautiful Sunday!!

Another gorgeous day here!.

Trying not to over do it today, C'mon it's Sunday.

Couple loads of laundry and @violet runner , I made the pumpkin bread this morning.  I love it in the bundt pan.

I added the dark chocolate chips, YUM...every now and then I get a chip, so delicious.   I added walnuts and raisins too.  I rehydrate the raisins in a splash of spiced rum, then in they go.  Just had a piece with yogurt butter...very delish.  Will do cranberries next time.

I watched the game last night up until I think 7th inning....what an exciting game, especially that last inning.  I watched it this morning on my sports channel...think it went to 11 innings.

@bopper ...I was looking for your son...line-up said he was out in right field??.

BTW, your right about the repetitive squats at home plate LOL...that umpire is 6'8", so he surely had to deep squat every pitch coming in.  I wonder if they get sore...muscle burn out.  Sure they're used to it though.  Funny, I never realized how many squats they do until you mentioned it 😆.

Have a wonderful Sunday to all...🌞

@Dazlin He was.  He had the plate on Friday night, then they rotate to a different position.    Yes a lot of squats for sure!!!

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

[ Edited ]

I went walking/hiking today.

Just got back and I thoroughly enjoyed my new routine. I walked around the paved paths and read my Kindle book until I reached the equestrian trail. That one is not as traveled and short so I hiked that one and then came around and did the bottom of the other hiking trail I usually do.

I passed a guy who looked kind of like Mr. Jesus but this one said nothing to me. Lots of people out today, but doing my own thing was pretty enjoyable and kept me out of the crowd which is my goal. Much less cardio though. Maybe I'll do the true hike later this week, if I need to.

I am off to my protein shake and dinner. Have a nice night all.

Re: WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@Laura14  glad you found a new route to hike. How do you read your Kindle and hike too? I think I would trip over myself!!

I too hiked at a spot I haven't been to in awhile.. Most of the  leaves have fallen and brush and bushes also bare, but still pretty in a barren sort of way. It was 70 plus out and sunny- lovely to walk / hike in. The background of the Rocky Mts.. makes it have alot of depth.

@Laura14  I got an email from the Q saying my  package was delayed in delivery because of an address problem.. They fixed it and  it'll be there soon. Funny, when I track it, it's not supposed to be here until the 10th. I am certain delivery is not the Q's forte.

Meeting a friend today- my usual Wed meet up..  A rest day I think - the last 2 days I pushed my limit on steps plus some weights..

  Have a good day everyone.
