Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

@Dazlin - thank you for checking in re your DD.  Will keep her in my prayers.

Plumbing got fixed today and all went well.  Must admit I'm a bit hesitant to do a load of laundry to test it out.

Haven't been walking but myabe tomorrow.  Got to run and feed the cat and start my dinner.  Take care all.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hello everyone, I didn't check in yesterday.  It was my 70th birthday yesterday, seeing the number in typed form is kind of a shock haha

Yesterday was cycling and today walking but my sciatica is kicking in today, my left foot has been picky, yay me!

Thank you @Dazlin it seems like a bad dream sometimes, way to much stuff going on here.  I have my 9 year old GD sleeping here tonight and tomorrow, and maybe Saturday if her mom and dad don't get back from the hospital.  So doing dog duty, GD, hubby, and I'm sure there is something else.   Just keep saying this too shall pass.   I may take a rest day tomorrow, I do need groceries.  I also heard this little fact or I shouldn't call it a fact, but it said taking a rest day is being kind to your body and I could use some kindness and self care.

Jammies are on and hopefully she will go to bed.  She is a bit high strung.

@bopper  - Ahhhh yes, I remember how I felt last August when I had my 70th birthday.  You'll get used to it.  You are in far better shape than I was and most 70 year olds so be proud of that.

Since last week I have done nada, nothing, nil, regarding walking.  Just stopped and can't seem to get the motivation back. Not sure why.  Earlier this week it was really windy here and my allergies were through the roof so wouldn't have walked on those days anyway cuz breathing would have been to hard.

Not much else to say. Have a good night!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Happy birthday @bopper - I paused a moment when I turned 70.. it's as they say, just a number.  Seems we are all about the same age posting.. I will be 72 in Aug.

You have alot on your plate these days..  I smiled when you said you had your GD overnight- next weekend I will have my GS. I don't mind as much now that he is over 6 years okd, but I don't sleep well when he spends the night. It's a responsibilty that's for sure.

@JudyL  Hopefully you'll get back into your walking ... and your knee allows you to all things pain free..

@Dazlin  How is your  daughter doing? Any updates?

I got my flowers planted that I have bought yesterday including my tomatoes. Today I am going for more.. I should keep track of what I spend- but I don't really want to know! HA! The nurseries I go to  are expensive, but I feel the flowers last all summer.

Also going to walk -  pretty much my day..

 Healing thoughts for everyone..

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hi everyone...seems like we all have something going on.

Things go in cycles, and yes @bopper this too, shall pass.

Happy birthday!  I made 70 and I have a birthday coming up in July 😖.  I really can't complain too much, I'm pretty active, and yes I'm alot of work in the beauty department...I keep up with my blonde hair, skincare, make-up, and I try to dress nice...but whew...I need alot of work to keep up with myself.

@violet runner ...thank you for asking about my daughter...shes going back to work today  shes a hairstylist...she said she's sore, Lil tired, but doing good.

I expect results any day now, they said 72 hours...we have a follow up 19th and discuss further testing. Im definitely on edge but im trying to trust and fight my mind from thinking otherwise.

Serving is a great thing @bopper , I pray for strength every day...We serve according to His strength .

I haven't done much walking either this week,  but im happy to catch up here, and I know I'll get back out there soon.

Take good care everyone...will check back soon!🌞

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Friday!   Well it made it to 80 today, pretty crazy!  We had a frost last night too!

My GD is staying tonight too but she's so self sufficient, and she's big into makeup and skin care!  Kind of like her grandma!  haha... I still color my hair too @Dazlin, my hair stylist who is also a friend said it's best I keep doing it, she said my hair would be white, and it's very thin so the color gives me some texture.

I didn't do a lot today but was moving a lot if that counts.  I'm tired tonight, I hope I sleep.  I'm another one who when a grandchild sleeps here I don't sleep well.

Prayers and positive thoughts to everyone here!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, from warm to freezing, 43 degrees today, back come the winter jackets and hats here.   The sun is out but the wind is really cold.

@Dazlin thank you for asking.  She has Tarlov cycts on the spine, a month in the hospital, and flew to Detroit.  Finally got them drained and prayfully they don't fill up again, the dr. did put some type of glue in them to prevent them from filling up.  She has never been in this much pain in her entire life and she has a high pain tolerance.  Got home yesterday, and is very thankful!

I really didn't do much today, it's okay.  Still dealing with sciatica.

@violet runner I received new Hoka's, mens wides, Clifton 10.  Got dark grey, figured they won't show so much toe dirt.  I hate a light color and the toe area starts to look nasty.  They are very comfortable and I really am happy with wides.

We brought my son and DIL dinner tonight as they really had not much in the fridge.  Then we came home and grilled fish.  Now jammies and baseball time.

Have a good night everyone!
