@Mmsfoxxie - Glad all went well with your DH's cataract surgery. I've had it done and was surprised at how soon I could see so much better. The only pain in the backside was all the drops for a couple of weeks.
@kate2357 - I'm sure your cancer screening appt will go well today. Goodness be didn't we all lay out in the sun too much when we were younger. Ugh.
@JeanLouiseFinch - You mentioned in your post about wanting to firm up your arms. On Amazon I bought some Arena Strength bands for the upper body. They come in a set of 4, I believe, and each band is a different strength. When I was using those regularly, they worked. I could feel the difference in my arms. They came with a workout guide too that I used. Another option, there are hand weights that you can hold in the palm of your hand while walking but as time goes on you would need to get heavier ones as you got stronger.
Today, I'm going to start getting my pots ready for when I can plant. Need to empty them first. Since I have stairs outside and have to walk to the compost bin, told myself one or two pots a day and thats it. Don't want to aggravate my toe/foot. So that will be my exercise - walking up and down my stairs and back and forth to the compost bin..
Thanks, @JudyL, I'll look them up. Back to Amazon for the umteenth time today. LOL 😉
ETA - found them and ordered the kit. Thanks again. 😊

This is a superb motivator for me to keep up with my daily walk/run 2+ miles. There are some wonderful inspirational stories on here. What have I been missing for so long? This is a very cool thread. I wish I was a morning walker, but I tend to walk later in the afternoon after my chores and appointments are done. Not an early morning person, hence the later activities. I do feel so much better after a nice long walk. I like to keep a steady, quick pace to make it count.

Ok ladies, are you sitting down? Put down whatever you're drinking or eating. I actually did a bit of exercise today. Yep, I did. At least what I'm calling exercise with this shoe/boot thing I have to wear.
May not sound like much but I emptied 2 large flower pots today so that meant 3 round trips to the compost dumspter at the end of the street - I live at one end and the dumpster is at the other end. Also means I made 3 round trips up and down my 15 stairs. Feel like the trips to the dumpster and up and down my stairs constitute the "short walk" the Dr says I'm allowed to do right now.
It felt so nice to get outside, get some fresh air, and start getting ready to plant some flowers.

Welcome, welcome. I used to do more in the afternoon before I retired. Now that I am retired, I still get up early, by 5 am, and like to get my exercises in early before I get distracted with other things.
The skin check went just fine. I am still at every 6 months, ugh. At least it's a quick visit and fairly close to home.
Treking with pots full of dirt IS exercise as far as I am concerned. I had to move about 50 pots and empty them of dirt. I took lots of breaks and did not do it all in one day. They are still working on our outside project and we are expecting a lot of rain by end of the week. Still hope to get some flowers planted before Memorial day.

*sigh* - guess emptying the flower pots and the trips back and forth to the compost bin and up and down my stairs yesterday was not a good idea. Woke up at 4:30 this morning to go to the bathroom and was in a good amount of pain with my toe. It's either that or our weather is changing and we're expecting much cooler temps and rain by late tomorrow into Saturday and thats causing it. So have been up since 4:30 and not happy about that. Will definitely be taking it easy today.

Good morning all. I was hoping a few days off my feet would solve the plantar fasciitis. It's barely fazed it so far. Every day that I'm not walking, I'm feeling guilty and fearfulthat all the progress I've made will reverse. I'm still icing and manually stretching, but I also ordered some contraption called a night splint. Right now, the problem is only with the left foot, but since the night splints come as a pair, I might as well do both feet. I'm currently wearing Vionics for walking but I'm thinking I may need to go to a walking shoe specifically made for PF. If anyone has a PF shoe recommendation, please let me know.

Wow, we are all back to nursemaid central. Hobbling with the best of them! ![]()
I have had my compression socks on and my Vionics and pads and stretching for my own feet issues and low back. It's killing me not having the ability to train hard, especially right now when I have the house to myself.
I am hoping to stay light with workouts until I can maybe go out to the park this weekend and hit my 250 minutes for the week. I have not missed it since I got my tracker and I don't want to start now.
I am not used to sitting a lot, but back to work kind of keeps me in the chair and I try and stay off the feet. But then that aggravates the back and you can't flipping win. I think my feet are on the mend. My back is another story.
So in more good news, my Mossa peeps sent an email last night that they are upping the monthly charge for my on demand workouts from $9.99 to $14.99 in June.
Say what! I can understand maybe $12.99 at the most, but $5 jump? Who you talking to, Willis? ![]()
Luckily, you can jump on the annual plan at the current prices, which I plan to do and that means they just lost a $1 a month from me for the next 12 months. I am going to let May go through at the $9.99 rate and then change it to go down to $8.25 for the next year and avoid the increase for 12 months. ![]()
Italians know how to work a market discount. Hope everyone, including myself, heals soon! ![]()

Hey all! Wow almost the end of the week already. Still cold and dreary here, I'm so over it. It really is hard to get motivated when it's like this, very hard!
That being said I did a 5 minute morning meditation, 23 minutes on the reformer and a 20 minute spin. If it stops raining I'll walk the dog for a little bit but not feeling it for sure. I'm always low on my step count because of the workouts I do aren't stepping but it's still a workout. I let it bother me to much I know that. I do a lot of cycling.
@Laura14 good on the ab work!
@kate2357 hoping for good results on your test today!
I'm still trying to eat more plant based and anti inflammatory.
Be well and keep moving!
