Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hi @Hoovermom, I can hear what you're saying, lol.  I don't leave nicer things unused anymore either.  He and I are both 75 and he'll be 76 in a few days, not in the best of health, I might add.  I'm all for getting a new set but not better than the one we had.  Besides, the two he showed me will take up all of the darn deck.  I'm in Illinois and our weather is fickle.  He has balance problems so I don't know who's going to but the thing together.  Hopefully, we find a retailer who will do that with the delivery.

@JudyL, I don't have any china but I do have my collection of Corningware that I seldom use.  Remember the S&H green stamps?  That's how I got most of it.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

@Daisy Sunflower - Welcome to the group!   That's fantastic that you did a 5 mile walk.  Congrats!

@Mmsfoxxie and @bopper - I do remember Green Stamps.  Bought a quilt with them that my daughter remembered from her early childhood.  Had it in my car for years and when that car was stolen, the first thing she asked - after making sure I was ok - was "was the quilt in the car?"  And she was in her late 20's when this happened.  LOL  She was so upset about losing that quilt.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

I too remember green stamps.. Even the "taste" of licking them and putting them into  a book.

@Daisy Sunflower  Welcome and great you got in 5 mile walk!!

I set my goal steps to 10,000 and if I can it in  one walk- the rest of the day is gravy!

Been to the rec center.. cardio day..  And probably will walk later- but on  my "list" today is flower shopping..  I'll be aware its a bit early  here in CO.. But  today is hanging planters- and want to get a good selection to pick from before Mother's Day.  It's sunny and 70's predicted for the next week. We are finally getting a Spring. And all the flowering trees are blooming.. so pretty.

I am struggling with keeping my sugar intake low.. How's it going for you @bopper ? I have cut out dessert for weeks now- but I still find hidden sugar is everywhere.

Maybe that's as far as I will get with  this.. A no added sugar attitude.

 Have a good day everyone..

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hi--good morning all!  I guess it's been awhile since I posted!  I was out at a plant yesterday and by the time I got home, I took the dogs for a walk and didn't work out.

Hi @Daisy Sunflower , welcome to our thread!

I can't remember if I posted this but on Monday--had to have a shot in my foot.  I think I told you that I was having issues when dancing--I would all of a sudden get a horrible pain in my foot.  Turns out to be a common problem--Morton's Neuroma--it's where the nerve between the 3rd and 4th toes becomes inflammed. I have to go back in 3 weeks for another shot and hopefully it will be gone.  I can't get a second shot in my hip until June, which is a shame because it is hurting again.

I have my annual wellness check today. At noon.  What was I thinking.

Hope you all have a good day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

It's a fabulous sunny day in Seattle. Went on a nice long run this morning. Came home and found out grandbaby #6 will probably be arriving sometime on Saturday...which is about a week earlier than expected. Also happens to be the same day our youngest grandson is having his birthday party. His actual birthday is next week ... but the party is Saturday.

Going to be very busy weekend. My other DIL and I are going to swoop in and update the nursery w/ pink or blue baby stuff once the baby is born. Nothing elaborate like painting ... just the soft goods and decor stuff. So Saturday night might be a late one for me. But a new baby is worth it.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday. I'm off to paint flower pots.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hey everyone, today was 35 minutes on the reformer but I followed a TG workout but used the reformer and then y Vibration plate and bands.   I did walk the dog in the woods and from all that snow the water is unreal back there.   I had knee high rubber boots and it was almost to the top at some points.  I wonder when it will recede.  This last storm was a doozy!

@Daisy Sunflower  welcome and awesome on the 5 mile walk!

@kate2357  a new baby how wonderful!!   Such a happy blessing!

@violet runner painting flower pots sounds so summery!   As I look at at our snow.

Said 50 on Friday so I hope so!

Great movement day everyone?
