Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper  against  my better judgement I added up my receipts for plants/ soil, and pots and its roughly $350.. I bought almost all at a good nursery- but still- that's alot. Prices are high..

@kate2357  so far - good news on Jack.. Day by day as my Mom always told me. And thank you for keeping us in loop in his recovery.

I exercised this weekend.. but nothing too strenuous. I need to get after it  harder this week. Went to the rec center this morning.. and didn't over exert.. HA! Will walk  sometime today.. And I have a few more of my million dollar plants to get in pots that I bought. This is the last and then see if I can keep them alive.

I bought the TSV Vionic sandals this morning.  I have the Tide ll that I have had for a few years.. hoping the sport version is lighter.. I do think  this brand helps keep my plantar fascititis form flarring up. I also love my OOFOS!

   Have a good day everyone..

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hi Happy Monday!   I did a 30 minute spin this morning and 20 on the reformer, and it was hard.  Some I couldn't do but I did something else instead.

@violet runner that's what we found out yesterday at the nursery we go to.  I mean people were leaving with lots of stuff.   It scares me to think in the fall all that stuff I spent money on will be done and I have nothing to show for it.   I think I'll just to a couple of perennials, which are at least 50$ or more per pot and geraniums.

@kate2357 prayers are still coming your way and will continue to do so!   Each day he will make improvements!

Here I was all irritated waiting on the AC man to install our Central Air and come to find out after he was 30 minutes late he was in the ER with shortness of breath so now I feel terrible I was mad about it.   He's terribly heavy and when he installed our furnace last February he was huffing and puffing just walking.  I hope he's okay.  We can always put in the window units if it gets hot.   You know we go from 40's to 80 with nothing in between.  I swear I'm hotter this year than I was last year.

I feel I ate bad this past weekend too.  To much beer and to many sweets.... what the hecks wrong with me.

Life is so short to be unhappy, I need to learn balance.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hi everyone!

@kate2357 so happy to see this good news about your hubby. I pray that his rehab goes well.

Well, I am not going to get in a workout because I spent an hour and a half at the dentist this morning getting my invisaligns.  They have to attach a bunch of adjustors on your teeth and that took forever.  But I have my first 6 trays and don't go back until August.

We did have a fun class in LaBlast on Saturday, but now we are getting into summer and that traditionally shows low attendance.

We're hazy again today from the smoke from Canada, hope that moves out soon--it gives me a headache.

Have a good day everyone!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hi Everyone!

Today was a busy day with errands.  Went to the grocery store Saturday morning and the produce was so awful I wouldn't buy any.  So went to a different store today and bought all sort of veggies and fruit - now if I'll just eat it all.  LOL  Went to the Post Office and the library too.

@kate2357 Prayers are continuing for you, Jack, and the family.  It's good to hear that he is improving - being hungry and wanting home cooked food is a good sign.  As someone else mentioned, please remember to take care of yourself too.  Understand it's hard to go running without him but it is something you enjoy and will help you even if you can get in one or two runs a week for now.

Now that the weather has warmed up a bit, whaddya know, my knee feels better.  LOL  So think this week I will try and get a couple short walks in and see what happens.

Other than that, not much else going on.  Take care ladies!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Toning Tuesday!   Are you working out to the best of your ability?  Making the effort to work the parts that work?

I had a worker here this morning and didn't want to be working out and showering but when he went to lunch you bet I hopped on my bike and did a spin workout.   Just enough time too to ride for 30 minutes and shower before he even got back.

Continued prayers to our @kate2357

@DrKelli

Did your test results come back yet? I hope all is well.

@bopper

You are so inspiring with how you make time to get in your workouts.

I have not done any exercise since Mother's day. But....I am getting in about 15,000 steps a day just walking and running around like a crazed peson.

Past couple of days emotionally rough for Jack, so hard for me too. I don't think I've ever cried so much. Usually in the car on way home. Although a couple of times I had to walk down the hall at hospital so I'm didn't get over emotional in front of Jack.

I know many of you have endured hardships and loss yourself. Thank you for giving me support and space to vent feelings at the end of my day. It helps to be able to put some of my feelings out into the universe. My beautiful Jack feels diminished as a man because of the amputation. So I spend my time being angry, sad, vengeful ... then just happy as all get out he is still with me. Ugh, crying again, so I will say goodnight. And thanks.

@kate2357 - ahhh Kate, if I could wrap my arms around you and give you a hug I would.  Or even just sit with you quietly over a cup of coffee or tea and just be there for you.  We are all here for you, day or night just come on and post and let it out.  My heart goes out to you and Jack.  All the emotions you are feeling are to be expected and normal.  Prayers are continuing for both of you.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning!

@kate2357   Jack's recovery will be long and difficult, but he definitely isn't 'less' of a man.  The prosthetics they have now are pretty great.  I just read that my junior high English teacher had to have his leg amputated at the hip--he coached paralympics for YEARS and he is now back on the slopes.

My results did come back last Friday--I thought I posted.  No cancer/no precancer!!  But she is going to do some additional testing because what is happening is not normal.

I did an app workout yesterday and will have my dance lesson today--maybe an app workout too. Right now, I need another cup of coffee.

I did get my invisaligns on Monday and they are a real pain to get on and off.  I keep telling myself "Only 9 months".  You can't eat with them, so I can already see that my snacking will be kept to a minimum.

Hope you all have a great day--may or may not be on tomorrow--I'm on PTO and try to limit electronics.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hey all!  It's cold here today 40's, so walked in a winter hat and jacket.  One day it's 80 and the next 40.

@kate2357 our group prayers are very strong for you and Jack.  And you trying to remain strong in front of him and holding back the tears is very hard.   The Lord will carry you, I know it seems impossible but he will.   I don't know how you even get your steps in, it must be hard to even function.   Like @JudyL said Group hug and we all are here to support you and Jack and your sons!  Hardships come and go and we need support and I am glad you feel comfortable talking to us.

Today I did 30 minutes on the spin bike and 22 minutes on the reformer, walked the dog this afternoon.

Our driveway is being prepped for blacktop so its been constant noise here and the house is shaking.  Logan has been so good though.  I thought he'd be in a panic with all the noise but he's been so good.  He did bark when we went outside to walk.  He's not used to being on leash in the yard but I have to leash him with all the equipment here and strangers in the yard.  These guys are constant smokers and drinking Red Bull.   I swear this one guy could not stand still, he was moving his legs standing in 1 spot while talking to the other guy.   I mean seriously how can Drinking Red Bull be good for anyone~!

We are getting the smoke from Canada and it's quite visable.

Hugs and Prayers to all!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, everyone.  Wonderful weather day ahead for me.

I will read the recent comments later but I wanted drop in for a quick hello.  My three week wait to see my ent doctor.  I think my throat problem and clogged ear problem are related...we will see.

I still have prayerful thoughts of your husband @kate2357.  As prayers go up, blessings come down I've always heard.  @DrKelli, glad you are cancer free!

Have a great day everybody.....I hope I don't get lost this morning...never been to this doctor's location before and don't have one of those gps things.  And I still write checks, too, lol.  Call me old school.
