Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, everybody.  (I’m going to post on the May thread since tomorrow is May 1st).  Yesterday was super wet and I was all up in it, lol.

Too many details to mention but it looks like the graduation trip is on again.  😃!

My daughter-in-law’s blood pressure couldn’t be brought down so they delivered my second granddaughter by C-section last evening.  @bopper, the placenta wasn’t delivering nutrients like it should so it might be what your daughter-in-law is experiencing.  Weight is 3lbs, 9 oz. and she’s in neonatal intensive care.  So far, docs say she looks good for 34 weeks.  Now, mommy’s pressure and diabetes can normalize.  I’m going to remind her about getting her tubes tied.  (Not my business but in a way, it is).  She doesn’t do pregnancy well, lol.  We’ve been stressed out this whole time.  Thank God my son has good blood pressure because he’s been put through a lot, too.  Working as well as being her caregiver and the 18 month old they have.

Now, on to what I’m supposed to be posting about, lol......I had one of my best workout days yesterday.  Monday’s schedule is one of my favorites probably due to my instructor (same for both classes).  He’s so funny....makes you almost forget to watch the clock.  He comes into the room with energy, expertise and humor.

This morning is Body & Sculpt, Flexibility and maybe half of the Zumba class.

I’m so excited about my new baby girl and my pending road trip.....whee!  Have a great day everyone.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Well, since @Mmsfoxxie jumped the gun, I'll just post here too.

We got a lot of snow last night, but it was super wet, so I didn't have to shovel my driveway and it wasn't iced up this morning.  I"m okay with that kind of snow.

Today is small group--hopefully the new person that came last week shows up again.  Otherwise, the group will disband for the summer.  One woman is having brain surgery and the other will be in Lisbon for work all summer.

I've still got to get to the LaBlast class that is near me.  I can't just give up a weekly dance class.

Not much else to report. Hope you all have a great day!

@Mmsfoxxie   Congrats on the baby girl!  Hope all continue to do well.

@DrKelli   One of my instructors is moving to Colorado so you're welcome or maybe not since there is now another one to compete with.  Today was her final class.  The good news is we do not have Zumba so I can vouch for her lack of certification.  LOL

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Well ya all fooled me, my post if your interested in in the April thread!  LOL

@Mmsfoxxie Congratulations on the new baby!  I don't know if that's the case with my DIL, she's seeing the High risk specialists throughout hers, and having lots of ultrasounds.  Last one showed the baby is still growing, we just pray daily she gets to 36 weeks, because thats when they said she will also have a C section.  Although I mentioned it's touch and go with her pregnancy because of her condition or 2 conditions.  The dr. has already told my DIL after this pregnancy she has no choice but hysterectomy, it's too dangerous for her.   It must be different from your DIL, but none the less still scary!

Okie like I said I posted already...  See ya tomorrow kids!

@Mmsfoxxie  congratulations on the new granddaughter!  Glad she and mom are doing ok.

Back to work for me today.  So hard to get up and get going but my sweet Montague was meowing at me to get up and feed him.  LOL  Sometimes its a good thing he is so punctual about his mealtimes.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning, all.  Flooding everywhere!  Two of my sisters Messengered me last night to say they had water in their basements.  This morning, though, I checked and all is well for us.  But the generator was going full blast.  I hope there is no power failure.  How are you guys doing weatherwise?

@JudyL, don’t strain yourself going back to work.

Yesterday was another good exercise day although I only did two classes....didn’t stay for Zumba.

No workout today and tomorrow unless I do it at home.  I’m supposed to go volunteer today but with this nonstop rain and flooding I’m gonna have to go another route, probably.  I know from the past that one of the streets I use is known for having standing water.  It’s been raining everyday since Saturday and that was a mix of rain, sleet and snow!  The rain isn’t expected to end until Friday!

I hope everyone has a good day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

@Mmsfoxxie , congrats on your new granddaughter!!

Yesterday was small group, the new person didn't come back because she doesn't want to work out at 11.

Today is yoga and I am so glad.  It is my favorite class now.

Our weather is dreary again today, but at least I don't have to shovel it. And my driveway wasn't icy either, so that is a bonus.

@Laura14 , what does the instructor teach so that if she comes to our gym, I can avoid it!

Hope you all have a great day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

@DrKelli   I know she taught Weights, Pound, and Spin class at one point as well as a combo class with step, weights, and kind of a yoga but not yoga routine.  It's weird.

No dance that I ever saw her listed for.  You're safe!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MAY EXERCISE THREAD

Hi Everyone.  Well yesterday wasn't too bad for a first day back after vacation.  Even the commute home wasn't too bad.  Had to stop and get ice for the ice chest and gas for the car so got home a little late.  I swear that cat of mine can read clocks.  He knew I was home later than usual and knew his dinner was late and he let me know!  LOL

This morning I did the PiYo workout.  Its a nice day by the Bay.  Sunny, cool, no clouds.  Hoping for everyone else's weather to get better soon.  Its amazing how my mood lifts on a nice day.

Take care!
