Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Rainbow Yoga this morning for me.

@bopper I have switched to chickpea pasta and red lentil. You do need to follow the instructions because it does cook differently then regular pasta but after a year, I really don't miss the real thing. My supermarket and Walmart and Target carry it. They even have a mac and cheese version that's not half bad on the odd day you want to be a kid.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper  and @Laura14 - I am more a rice person, but once in awhile like pasta. I'll have to look into the chickpea and red lentil versions of pasta.  I  too want to eat what I want when I want it.. but  trying to do as suggested- more dark leafy greens and salmon ( fish) .. its all a process.. I laugh when I go to the store and see a full  aisle of say, cereal. If we were given 3- 5 choices we'd pick one and move on..

Cataract sugery yesterday. Went well and follow appt in the afternoon confirmed same.

On light weight lifting- nothing too strenous for a week..  and lots of eye drops!!

Glad its over and a just a couple of follow appts.. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel- no pun intended.. HA!

The big snow predicted overnight- didn't come- I am glad- we got rain for a change.

Pretty sure we wont' escape it entirely.. the mts can have it.. I actually liked the  rain.

Plan to walk and keep things simple today.

  Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone..

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Happy St. Patrick's Day!   It's a tough day for me.  My mom left us this day 25 years ago.   She was only 65~  I miss her every single day of every single minute.   Then the following year on this exact same holiday, my FIL died...so hard!

I didn't have it in me to do a very strenous workout so did my reformer free style for 40 minutes and that's it.  We have sun and upper 40's and I'm sitting outside in a t shirt on my deck getting much needed sunshine amid the snow in the yard.   Don't even care, I really needed the quiet and the sun on my body today.

@violet runner  glad your eye surgery went well, cross that off your list.   My son told me it was snowing now.  He has a flight out at 8:45 tonight I hope it isn't cancelled.

Not much else here.... Have a good rest of the day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

I will be going on my Teeter for 20 minutes. I am looking forward to walking outside to walk as soon as the weather is good enough. When I am able to go outside my exercise time goes up.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Hi everyone!  Sorry I didn't really check in yesterday but thought I would do so today because I'm going to be out of the country until the 26th.  This is our dance cruise although it didn't really turn out like they thought. There's only 7 of us going, including my mom, but I think we will have a great time.

I did get my trainer workout in yesterday and I have a double dance lesson today.  I was going to try to get to the gym, but I'm really having a hard time getting organized and am trying to finish up cleaning for the house/dog sitter.  My suitcase is all packed, but I'm just terrified I will fall asleep and miss my 1:30 have to leave the house time.

My dance partner and I are going zip lining, so that will be the one guaranteed workout I will have.  Plus dancing Smiley Happy

Hope you all have a great weekend and good next week.  Apparently, I will miss a snow storm. Not sad about that.

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

H, everyone.

I did a walk routine at home yesterday for about 40 minutes.  Nothing today.

@bopper, glad to know your mom left you with good memories.

@violet runner, it been suggested that I have cataract surgery but I'm the biggest chicken ever for getting thing surgically.  I don't drive at night, though, unless I know the area is well lit.

Enjoy your trip @DrKelli.  Be safe!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

@Mmsfoxxie  Sometimes thinking about doing something is worse than actually doing it. The hardest part about a cataract is doing the eye drops pre and post - op.  My surgery was at 7am and I was home by 9. I fully understand  what you are saying though.

You will know if and when the time might be right.

I did lite exercise at thre rec center today. And got my 10,000 steps plus so far today.

Keep moving any way  we can...

I am hiking tomorrow.. it's going to be a nice weekend.

 Enjoy reading eveyone's posts.

@bopper  Having someone die on a holiday is  that much harder when the holiday rolls around.. I hope you can look at it  with good memories  most of the time.  My mother is 93 this Sunday so I can't relate what's it like not having her in my life even though she is 2000 miles away.

   Bye for now!!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Friday!  Today was Grocery day so did that and came home, put it away and had some lunch and then got my workout done.   Spinning with Kirstin Allen 15 minutes Intermediate workout and then a 20 minute strength with Kaleigh.  I even used a 20# dumbbell for 1 arm bent over rows.   Total gym was a mix of upper body and then I'd cycle and then go back and forth.

@DrKelli  have a great time and stay safe!

@Catiele  hi there.  I wish our snow would go so walking would be more enjoyable.   Only 34 here.

@Mmsfoxxie  I don't know about you but the time change still has me feeling tired.

Left overs for us for dinner so works for me!

Happy Friday evening!

Re: WELCOME TO THE MARCH EXERCISE THREAD

Bopper I was able to walk today. It finally was walking weather in RI. Came home and worked in the yard. Looked at my front door and the Christmas wreath is still up. I am about to take it down.
