Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, everyone.  I blinked and May was gone, lol.  Looks like the weather is center stage in a lot of places.  Since my son lives in Georgia, I was definitely checking on that water main break.

I plan to go to my fitness center for while this afternoon.  Don't want to run into my former workout ladies right now.  Don't feel like chatting about where I've been.

Have a great day everyone!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

@Laura14  I checked my inventory and have 4 lock and lock glass bottom containers ( I'd say 2-3 cup)- I transferred my fruit to them.. Thanks for mentioing that.!

 Hope your workday is uneventful!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

I like the idea of the Lock and Lock keeping fruit fresh for longer. I have never purchased anything from that line, but I have read countless posts on how people love them. Is the Q the only place to buy them?

@violet runner

I hope you like your pink Hoka's. I hate when I anxiously wait for an item to be delivered, only to be disappointed when it arrives.

No drama during our family dinner. Just funny stories and lots of hugs and snuggles. Gosh we missed them. We have become so used to seeing our family often.

Today is back to normal with the boys coming over early to workout with their dad. Too wet to go running outside, so I did 30 minutes each on treadmill, bike and elliptical. My thighs and tush are hating on me right now.

We don't have too many annoying insects here....just the stupid wasps and yellow jackets. A couple of times we had that ant invasion into our kitchen, which I found so gross.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

@kate2357  - YEA!  So happy to hear that your family gathering was so nice.  Sounds like lots of love and healing happened.

As a single person, I would be lost, absolutely lost without my LocknLock.  I use them for everything from crackers, cereal, cheese, lunch meat, pastas, baking supplies to produce. Oh and don't forget leftovers!  They do keep things longer for me so I don't waste as much.  Use them in the freezer too.  Have some of the glass ones and didn't think I'd use them much but use them all the time.  I've only bought them on the Q but think they are now on Amazon too.  My DD loves them also.  Sometimes when they have a TSV on the Q and the set they are selling is too big but I want/need a few of them, I get it anyway and give the rest to my DD.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

So here is hope (somewhat) that you can exercise without exercise.

I checked my intensity minutes to see how many I got on my step class this morning. I was shocked to see I had already gottem almost a third of my 150 weekly intensity minutes on day one of a new week.

I had all kinds of bad dreams and almost nightmares last night so I checked my sleep score and it was one of the worst ones I ever had because I was too stressed according to my heart rate.

Apparently that carried over into the day job because I started with the step class and my heart rate never really went down so I kept racking up points!

I have finished the bulk of what stressed me out from work. I hate a brand new month and new billing. I should be relaxing anytime now. Smiley LOL

Anyway, apparently if you get your heart rate up by less than ideal means, that counts too! I do not recommend it. But, it got me a third of the way to my weekly goal.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Monday is here again!

This morning I started with a Peloton walk on the rebounder, it's an audio walk supposed to be done outside but I enjoy doing them inside too.   Then a 30 minute cycle workout with Kaleigh Cohen Fitness, her new 8 week Sweet Summer Sweat Progam, free on Youtube, combination of strength and cycle.  If anyone is interested in joining me it would be fun to have a partner.

I love Hoka shoes, I have a very large size 11 foot so they can look clunky on my foot but I'm to the point I really don't care.

I feel the bugs are worse here than in the South!   Tried to plant some new Hosta's and man digging in dirt, and they are all over my head, in my eyes, neck, ears, I threw in the towel and said forget it.

I hope you all have a good week!

@kate2357  I understand your anger still with your situation.. I hope the party was good with your family.  It  may have been a way to get past it..  I wish that for you.

One thing about life- it's ever changing.

I didn't get alot of  specific exercise yesterday.. but got out for a short walk and played with my grandson for awhile. The latter exhausting in a good way- he's 5.5 years old.

Today its back on the bike, watering my flowers. It's going to be hot- 90 predicted.

Have done my chair yoga/ stretching.. its been good for me so far.

Lots of bad weather across our country. Also so fires in CA again.

@Laura14  I  bought fruit from Whole Foods and cut it all up..  Nice to have it ready to eat and in portions.  Great idea and now to eat it before it spoils!

Have a good day everyone.. @bopper  sorry the bugs are out.. We hardly have any here in CO( esp. in the mts)..but there are some persistent ones near stagnant water areas. Can certainly ruin a good time. Any suggestions on a bug spray that's not too bad for us? I have tried just about everything and DEET seems to the one that works, but I really don't like applying it.

Time for my coffee- 2nd cup actually.

@kate2357  my pink HOKAs which were supposed to be delivered on Sat- "might" arrive today.. Will report about them when they come. Hard to know what size- which is why I went to the store in the first place and then they didn't have any for me to try on. Why am I not feeling optimistic about the whole purchase?? HA!

Yes actually I do have a suggestion.  I need to try it myself.   This is from a truly organic company.  Rowe Casa Organics.   I have bought several things from this company the customer service is outstanding and everyone is reviewing the products saying they are wonderful.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

@Laura14 - early risers we are! I am heading to the rec center.. they open @ 5- but I like to be fully awake and have stretched a little before I go. My bed time- is 9pm- up at 3:30am  -  I do like the quiet in the early mornings.

Errands today.. Yesterday I got  a bike ride in before the heat.. The next few days is certainly going to be a challenge staying cool. The west is gonna be H-O-T!

@bopper  thanks for the insect repellent brand tip.

Oh, my shoes never arrived. Kept saying delivery yesterday. Now it's pushed until today ( maybe) I am at a point I don't even want them. I looked up where they are coming from-  its a city only 43 miles from me.!!  It' s now been 4 days since I ordered  directly from the store. The CS person said it'll be an easy delivery because its just coming from a different store.. Fed Ex is delivering.. Their new motto-" we'll get it to you whenever we feel like it"!! HA!!  No offense if anyone works for them..

Have a wondeful easy Tues everyone!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Hi all!

Just a few minutes to check in.  My hair continues to grow--I just hope I get into Pfizers help program to help pay for this drug!

Finally found a yoga studio not too far from me that offers Restorative Yoga. I took a class last week and liked the instructor enough to sign up as a member.  She teaches Restorative several times a week, including a lunch time class that I can take if I'm WFH and 2 evening classes, so I'll get my money's worth.

@violet runner , I have to share a funny HOA story.  As you know--I resigned last year over the horrible things people were saying about the budget we tried to pass that included a very substantial raise due to insurance premiums.  They literally almost doubled--from $140 to $270.  Well, the revised budget came out, along with the notice for the ratification meeting.  Fortunately, I will be out of town, so I sent a proxy.  The proposed budget is now $235.  So they found out that we WEREN'T trying to s**** them.  I wrote on my proxy "I vote to reject this budget".  Yes.  Very passive-aggressive of me I know. But it was the most a-hole thing I could think to do.

Dance lesson tomorrow night and then restorative yoga. I'm hoping to do the Thursday lunch time class too.

Hope you all have a great day!
