Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Saturday, still not feeling great.   Just a cold but still draggy.   I did 40 minutes on the Cellersiser rebounder and 35 on the Pilates chair.

Then tried to lay down this afternoon but I am not a day sleeper...

It was crappy most of the day and cleared up.

I can't believe the days will start getting shorter again soon!

@JudyL  that's awesome.   What a trip of a lifetime!   that for sure is something to look forward too.   Get than ankle better!!

Have a good evening

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, all.  Looks like the humidity here is going away for a few days.  Now we can enjoy the warm weather.

@JudyL, Hawaii!  I'd love to go but I can't wrap my head around an eight hour flight, lol.

Today will be the first time I won't have to exercise at my fitness center with a mask!  Happy day, happy day!  I'll wear the mask coming and going but not when I'm working out.

Have a great day everyone!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Monday!   It's 70 here and sunny.  Kind of muggy but at least its not 90!

I took it somewhat easy today because of m head cold.  Did the rebounder a stretching workout and then just some health bouncing.   Then did 30 minutes on the PIlates chair or there abouts.  Might have been 25..  dog walked and am making chicken.

@Mmsfoxxie  so nice to rid the mask!   Yay!!!!!!!

@JudyL Get your grass skirt ready!!  haha!

@DrKelli  hope you are having a good day!

Enjoy the day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, everyone!  Beautiful day yesterday....goodbye humidity.

I really enjoyed my non-masked workout yesterday.  My stamina was much better.  There were 15 of us in the class and a few there worn their masks.  They either aren't vaccinated or were still being cautious considering the variant luring amongst us.

Today is another visit my father day.  I was there Saturday and Sunday and it's pretty depressing.  As someone said....getting old is not for cowards.

Enjoy your day.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, all!  I forgot to stop in yesterday.  I had to run over to the audiologist to get my 6 month hearing aid cleaning and then later in the afternoon, I had a dentist appointment.

@Mmsfoxxie I'm glad you got to your exercise class.  I need to get more faithful about daily workouts.  I've gained back most of the weight I lost last year.  We got the official word that we will be returning to the office after Labor Day, but we can work remotely at least 3 days a week.  I'm pretty sure my boss will let us work 4 days remotely.  Especially me--I'm an island to myself.  There is no one in the office that I collaborate with, so there is no reason for me to be there, collaborating..  I'm pretty sure that I won't start my gym membership up again (downtown) since I won't be working every day down there.  All my favorite classes went away, so . . .

@bopper it's still super hot here--but no humidity LOL!  This weekend is supposed to be cooler, but I'll be at the dance competition, so I'm assuming that it will be very air conditioned.

@JudyL I hope your foot is getting better.  I had foot surgery 9  years ago and was in a boot most of the summer and it was AWFUL!!  And hot.

I made my reservations for my work trip next month--it is costing me almost 500 bucks to rent a car for a little over 24 hours--I get to MN at 9:30 and leave at 3 the next day--it's ridiculous!!  The car rental that I usually use didn't even have any cars!!  And July in Minnesota isn't exactly fun with those 10,000 lakes.

I'm going to take my LaBlast class at 10:30, so at least I will get some exercise in.  Hope you all have a great day!!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Hey everyone, cold is almost gone .   I did 30 minutes on the rebounder and then 30 on the Pilates chair.

Hair appt. this afternoon.

@DrKelli  you better get on the Aeroski or when I come to CO you may be missing something haha!

Just picked up some more plants as they were clearing them out so will plant tomorrow.   I'm not a dirt person LOL as funny as that sounds I hate getting in dirt so not a gardener as I hate weeds, bugs, that dirty sweaty feeling...

Making bread now for hubby's lunch.   He had an interesting day.  Police evacuated the majority of downtown where he works because of a bomb threat at the Federal courthouse.   Turned out to be nothing but it was a little nerve racking to say the least.

Take care!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, all.  Another beautiful day coming up.

I'll be doing my workout at my fitness center this morning and looking forward to my only classs without weights used....just pure cardio.

@bopper, I can imagine a bomber scare can be upsetting.  These days you have to take everything seriously.  The nuttiness is increasing.

I have a little cough and I'm not sure if it's gonna go away without much fanfare or turn into a cold which would mean I can't go visit my father at the nursing home.  Speaking of the nursing home, yesterday I was there during their recreational time and it was very interesting. Although my father couldn't participate, it was nice that he was able to sit amongst them.  While observing, I couldn't help but remember the saying "once a man, twice a child".  It was like a kindergarten class.  But the residents seemed to be enjoying it.

Well, let's get out there and enjoy this beautiful day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning!

@bopper LOL--I actually got on the aeroski for one of the LaBlast songs yesterday--I didn't like the song (he's used it before) or the dances, so I aeroskiied instead and let me tell you--I barely made it for 4 minutes.  So I'm going to do short activities on it until I build up my endurance.

Today, I have a 2 hour dance lesson, so that will suffice for my workout.  Tomorrow, I have a trainer work out and then 2 days of dance competition.

I'm meeting a new potential dog sitter on Sunday--my regular one is booked for the day I need her.  The new one said that she used to sit for her grandma and those dogs were ridiculously spoiled. It's only for one night and I hope Lexi doesn't act like a jerk.

Hope you all have a good day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Wellness Wednesday

Today I did several different things.  I started rebounding on my reformer for about 20 minutes, then did I Jump Instead workout on the rebounder for about 25 minutes and finished with Pilates chair for about 25 minutes.  Just came in from doggie walk and it's a lovely 70 degree day.

I'm going to Kohls tonight to look for new jammies and bigger luggage as we are heading to CO  for the MLB All Star Game... so excited to see my grandsons whom I haven't see in almost 2 years....

@Mmsfoxxie  that saying hits home with me too.   And so true.  I"m glad your dad was able to be amongst all of them... It's sad but at the same time if they were all enjoying themselves then that's all that matters.   I hope you aren't getting my cold!

@DrKelli  good job on the Aeroski, you were afraid I may come take weren't ya Haha!

Watching my Detroit Tigers now with a cup of coffee , window is open and it's quiet except for the birds...

Life is good!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JUNE EXERCISE THREAD

Good evening!  Its in the mid-80's here and you know, for us, thats a heat wave!  Tomorrow is supposed to be hotter.  LOL  No way I was cooking dinner tonight so ordered a pizza.

@bopper I love to garden and miss it living in my townhouse.  If I lived close to you, I'd come over and help you plant.

@Mmsfoxxie hope you're not getting a cold.

@DrKelli I had to laugh at your comment about your dog not being a jerk.  I have to have a conversation with Montague before I leave about being a good boy.  He hides from the cat sitter.

Nothing new here.  Was hoping, thinking, wishing, I could do a little bit of exercise this week but ankle is still swelling up more than I would like.

Take care!
