Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Tuesday!

Did Day Two of yoga. Taking it very easy on us but after being away a bit, it's nice to slide back in.

Storms today and another work day ahead. I still feel like a hamster on a wheel but here we go again.

Hope everyone is having a great start to the year. Pump it up! 😂

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning and Happy New Year!  Wow-only the 3rd day of the month and already 3 pages!

My exercise will be shoveling this morning.  My ear is still clogged up and I'm hoping to get in with the ENT in the next few days.  When I called before Christmas, they were scheduling into January.  I'm feeling better but still have the ear issue and am still fatigued, but it is definitely getting better.  All the medical people I saw said this was a horrible cold/flu season because the viruses were hard to get rid of. And of course, they can only treat the symptoms--I'm still taking Mucinex and the antihistimine. I would definitely like to get off them (not the antihistimine--I'm on that year round).

My class on Saturday was rough--mostly because I can't hear.  I was glad when it was over.

Hope you all have a great day!!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning everyone!

My stomach is in knots and my hands are shaking.  Big day for me today - it's all good - will be able to talk more about it later.  Didn't feel up to working out this morning but maybe later when I calm down a bit. LOL   Another round of big storms coming our way starting tomorrow and going through early next week.  Think there is a break on Friday.  Hope I don't start floating away.  HAHA

Have a good day!  At least the sun is out today so that is good.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, Today I picked a Bosu/weight workout and I didn't like it at all but I kept going and just implimented my own things.  Then went on my reformer and did a glute/thigh workout.

We're under another winter weather advisory for tonight and tomorrow.  Our neighborhood road is all ice so dangerous to walk, snow everywhere and gloomy.

@maggie04  you got lots of steps in that's awesome.  Glad you are here!

@JudyL only wishing you good thoughts!!

@Laura14  we'll be shoveling again too...

@DrKelli  clogged ears drive me crazy and give me anxiety.   Why is it so hard to get appointments too.  I know lots of people are blaming these virus's on the Covid shot.  Who knows...

Praying for Bufflao # 3 NFL player to make a full recovery...

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY EXERCISE THREAD

@JudyL HeartSmiley Very Happy

@bopper I'm sorry. We're supposed to get some potentially severe thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow and it looks like the system is already throwing tornados so I guess it's good I live in a basement. LOL

Stay safe all!

@DrKelli I might almost trade you my sinusitis that I've had for over a month now for your ears. Almost. I hope you find some relief soon. Heart

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY EXERCISE THREAD

All my running mates are back to work, so it was the treadmill for me today. Spent 75 minutes on treadmill w/ about 45 minutes doing program for hills. I have not done this on treadmill for awhile and gosh darn I forgot how much it makes me sweat. Smiley Happy

@JudyL Good luck w/ whatever you're hoping for!

@DrKelli @Laura14

Hope you both start feeling better soon.

And hope the weather is not too severe for everyone. Up here in Seattle, just the normal cloudy w/ rain forecasted. Not even particulary cold. I'll take it.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning!  I'm following myself . . .

This morning was really cold--10 degrees with fog, so it was damp too.  It does look pretty, but I am tired of winter.  My old girl, Lexi, was all Nope--not going out in that!  So she stayed home while Kevin and I took our normal walk.

I did do a dance lesson yesterday and it went pretty well.  Our competition is 2 weeks from Saturday and I keep praying my ear clears up. It's very frustrating to dance when you can't really hear the music.  We got our showcase number fully choreographed and actually danced the whole thing.  Well, my partner danced and shouted the steps to me.  It almost killed me when we were done.  You just don't realize what a virus does to you until you have to dance 3 minutes straight LOL!!  We are dancing to Ray Charles' version of Shake Your Tail Feather.

Well, this round of alopecia just won't quit.  I lost my body hair and my eyelashes this time, plus most of the hair on my head.  I took a pair of scissors and cut off the "disney villain" hair--it is very wiry and sticks straight out.  I'm hoping that I am at the end of this flare.  I do see peach fuzz in some spots so that is a good sign. I hope  my eyelashes grow back . . .

Hope you all have a great day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY EXERCISE THREAD

@DrKelli - wow, I am so sorry you have to wait until Feb 1 for an ENT appt.  Let's hope you won't need it.  I'm also sorry to hear about your alopecia flare that seems to keep going.  Sending you hugs.

We are getting slammed today with a huge storm.  All the news stations are telling everyone to stay home.  My office is closed the rest of the week and everyone is working from home.  There are back to back big storms today through the middle of next week.  In my area we could see 6 inches of rain.  All the experts are telling us to expect widespread flooding, high winds, and power outages.  The ground is saturated from the rain we've already had.  Goodness be, welcome to 2023!

With this rain and cold my knees were hurting so much this morning, it was painful just getting to the bathroom.  No work out for me.  I know I should but when they hurt that much, I just can't.  Don't remember my knees ever hurting this much during past winters.  Although, it has been years since we've had this much rain and cold and I am  bit older so that could be it too.  HAHA

Take care today!
