Good morning, all! I'm back at work for the first time in almost 2 weeks! I'm trying to get a game plan together to catch up.
@Laura14, did your company close? I think I'm too new to know what happened.
I am trying to decide what to do at the gym today because my trainer isn't back from England yet, so we won't have small group. My choices are Pilates Mat and Rhythm Cycle. I'm sure it will be packed.

Hey everyone, seems we are all in the deep freeze, we're up to 15 now, windchill is still below zero but the 15 seems nice. I'm heading out in a bit. Did 45 minutes on the treadmill and 25 on the bike, stretched on the reformer. I like watching all the New Years healthy tips on the Today Show today, and the exercise tips. I'm in a plank challenge now, I wonder if I can post the chart here. Not sure how to do it...I'll try after though.
Laura I agree with Foxxie, your posts are hilarious, must be something to watch for sure!
Dr. Kelli, cool on the Lablast class they want to start, I hope your New Years was good, I heard it was cold there too.
foxxie congrats on your 1 year of being with us, I'm so happy you are still posting here. This thread has been going a long long time, nomless can attest to that!
MickD how's it going in your neck of the woods?
who besides nomless and me have seen the 3 week yoga retreat infomercial? It's a new Beachbody program. We are both interested in it. Waiting to see who has it and if they like it.
I threw away the last freezer bag of cookies, I can't have them in the house. Hubby didn't want them at work either, actually they were a week old so I didn't want to give anyone those either. My car won't start, the charger is on it, its old and when it's cold for so long it won't run. Even with the charger on it I'm a bit hesitant to take it because what if it won't start in the parking lot of the grocery store.. Looks like hubby will be taking me again this week, not the most fun shopping with him but oh well.
Okay kids I'm heading outside, have a great rest of your day!

Hi @bopper and Happy New Year to you.
Hope all is well with you and yours and that 2018 is a good year for all. Still doing absolutely great here concerning my present fitness level, and my wife is getting much better from her emergency abdominal surgery of a month ago.
Happy to see you keeping this thread going for such a long time.
Your Friend,

@DrKelli My company has been bought and sold about 5-6 times now. It's the nature of the industry I am in. That's why I am changing to a more stable career. Every time we change hands, I get new management which makes the same mistakes over and over and over. This current owner is the worst yet. So bye, bye very soon!

@DrKelli, yay for you Le Blast demo at the rec center! Be sure and let us know when it is and how it goes.
Foxxie, this cold weather is getting old, isn't it?
Laura, it sounds like you're enjoying the internship. I'm so glad for you.
Bopper, good for you for pitching the cookies. I still have some and chocolate, too. Sigh. My resolve isn't as strong as yours. ☹

@nomless You'll have to share some of your shoe picks. I'm fine during the week but the weekend 8-9 hours standing is a bit much. I'd love to buy some Alegria or Vionic sneakers but they are expensive so I might wait until I get a real job and know what I am allowed to wear. I don't know.
I made my 10,000 steps yesterday and my 9 of 9 movements. Probably not going to do much today other than run around back and forth. This no breaks and 3-4 weeks to go is getting to me a little bit.
Although I like the idea of a plank challenge or something like it @bopper. I might join you in that.
Congrats on the demo @DrKelli!! You go girl!!
@Mmsfoxxie Stay warm! My place of business is closed all week for the outdoor activities because it is frigid here. That means it's below 20 degrees. I still haven't pulled out my winter coat yet and actually I am just wearing my sweater out. Practice for if and when I move north again.
Have a great hump day!!

Good morning, group. Yeah, everybody is in a deep freeze....even Florida is getting snow. My niece in Florida is complaining. I laugh. That snow won't last on the ground like mine has done. @Laura14, you'd better get your coat and boots out and be ready. Really glad not to be on the east coast.
Speaking of shoes, I ordered some Nikes from Macy's. There was a sale that I couldn't resist even though I had said that I would go to a brick and mortar store to try on the next pair.
Today is run around day....gas, grocery store and hopefully get a pedicure. I'll do some walking at home later.
Have a great day everyone.

@Laura14, re: shoes for work, when I'm on my feet most of the time, I have settled on BZees. It's a branch of Naturalizer, I believe. BZees have good arch support, are cushiony, and have good road feel. On many styles, the uppers are stretchy, so my toes aren't crowded. BZees can be found at DSW and HSN. I love my Alegrias, but they're too stiff and hard for times when I'm on my feet for hours. I know a lot of people like them for standing work, but I didn't.
Foxxie, I hope you love the shoes you ordered!

@nomless and @Mmsfoxxie Thanks for the shoe recs! I will check them out.

I wanted to do the bike today in the fitness room, but It's messed up again. The seat is too high and won't go back down. Same problem it's had many times. I reported it and suggested they invest in a new one that works.
So, I decided to set up my Denise Austin health rider sold on Q eons ago. It does provide a total body workout, as you can't do it legs only or arms only. You have to use both. But It's really hard, at least for me. Will try it a fee days and see bow it goes.
