Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY 2022 EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning!  Well I am definitely feeling the extra yoga practice that I did last night.  Feeling tired and a little sore in places.  LOL  Will see how I feel after work and decide whether or not to do today's practice.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY 2022 EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, all!

I just finished my trainer workout--I overslept this morning, so I didn't even have much coffee before my workout, which makes it extra challenging.

But it was the only meeting on my calendar today, so I am thankful for that.  Next week is really busy--I have several dance lessons to get ready for the competition and a coaching session by a world champ right before the comp.  I'm teaching LaBlast on Saturday too.  The comp is all day Sunday--like from 7 am to midnight.  I took the 24th off. . . .

We have a 3 day weekend coming up so yay for that.  Our weather has finally calmed down.  I need it to not snow for awhile because of the comp next weekend.  Plus I have to go out to a plant one day a week for the next 4 weeks to get them ready for an OSHA audit.  It's the plant that I really don't like to go to because the manager is such a jerk.

Can you believe January is half over?  Well, almost.  It's going to be one of those years I guess.

Hope you all have a productive day!!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY 2022 EXERCISE THREAD

@Mmsfoxxie It always does!  One year it did hang around for a week but usually it's here and then gone within 24 hours.

We are back to 1-3 inches possible overnight on Sunday. If we get the three I may actually have to break out my real honest to goodness snow shovel and beat back the neighbors who have never seen one and are trying to scrape the concrete with their garden spades.

Get your hot cocoa and glasses ready. The Southern snowpocalypse entertainment may begin shortly....Smiley Very Happy

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY 2022 EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Thursday!

Today I did another workout from Kaleigh.  Lower body and Abs and whewie it was tough.  No cycle or walk today.  It's freezing rain and I needed a day off of cycling

@DrKelli  you do have some busy weeks ahead.  Sure hope it all goes okay.

@JudyL yoga is such a good workout. I should try and get back to it actually.

I pray this year will be much different than last year.   Everyone seems so depressed.

Remember you are blessed!

@bopper My husband is from WI.. so, I am famiiar with your weather   etc.. and I think it's  alot like upstate NY  where I grew up. I love areas that get rain and are green. Something sorely lacking here in CO but very much  needed. I also like  that it's easier to have a garden where you are- I struggle getting things to grow here without assitance with  hand watering. ( I am a container gardener- since I live in a townhouse. ) Lots of containers though.

I have been wanting to ask- anyone here order workout clothes on the Q? I am a big fan of Zuda.. I  shop Athleta and Title Nine.. but found this brand to be suitable.

The trouble I am  having of late is getting the items.. Shipping has been sporadic- either delayed  or doesn't arrive. Right now I think I have 2 Zuda bottoms  coming and I might get 4 because they had to resend. And I have 2 tops that are  delayed..  It's a crapshoot anymore. Not in a hurry for them, but comical almost wondering if I will get them. I don't order other clothing from the Q.   If you dont' order Zuda- what brands do work for you?

I am not tied to one brand  so curious.

I saw my grandson outside yesterday- that was my workout after going to the  rec center. He's a little confused why we are meeting outside again and believe me, it's not ideal in winter- but he's too young to be vaccinated.  His parents requested and I comply.

Today is my rest day.. I am heading to Trader Joes..  This Sat, I am finally meeting up with my youngest son and wife who live in WY. Our very belated Xmas meet up.  I don't even remember what I  got them// HA!  Trader Joes has a few items I can serve for brunch.

    Have a good Thurs..

@violet runner  yes we are winter like for a long time.   We have a very short gardening season actually.  It's to cold to plant in the ground until Mid June and that doesn't give crops a lot of time.  Our soil is sandy so that isn't great for our garden either.   I haven't tried Zuda but have seen it.  I have UA and just various stuff from Target.  Since working out at home I don't pay a whole lot of attention to how I dress but usually crop leggings and a tank top for me.  I haven't ordered from Title Nine but get the catalogs and Roadrunner sports too .  I can' never find a sport bra that fits and doesn't give me the dreaded Uniboob either. Or they fit until you bend over and then everything falls out.  It's a constant battle.

TGIF

Yoga is done along with some HIIT. Our snow event may be falling apart so the kids may be sledding in trash bags on water. Hope everyone has a great day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY 2022 EXERCISE THREAD

@bopperand others: Now here's a topic we can all relate too.. workout bras.. I probably have a handful of funny stories about them. I found years ago  one from Kohl's of all places- tek gear.. I bought 4. I still have them and  they are no good now.. but were comfortable and med. support. Discontinued of course . I  recently ordered 2 from Spanx- not exactly workout per se. The Bra-llelujah..   same color  and upportive enough and comfortable. Only drawback is  the straps aren't adjustable.  Overall I would rate them a B minus.  I am not a well endowed woman- B maybe a small C..

Have been to the rec center and did weights. machines .. and walked the track. A storm possibly coming in with wind and a light dusting of snow. Hopeful I can get in some walking miles outside.

Have a good Friday and weekend !!

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY 2022 EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning all!  Pretty cold here and expecting snow later today.

@violet runner sports bras are the bane of my existence.  EIther you dislocate a shoulder trying to get them on or they don't stay put.  Target used to carry some that I liked, but of course, they don't any longer.  I found some Underarmour ones at Kohls that are okay and the old navy ones are okay (but border on the dislocate your shoulder side)

I have a double dance lesson today.  The first one is comp prep and fine tuning our "solo" entry (basicially an 'anything goes' performance) and then I have a spolight lesson.  My regular partner is not available that night, so I am dancing with one of the owner's of the studio.  We are doing a Theater Arts number to Wherever you go.  And a funny thing--I was watching an old episode of Love Boat and Carol Channing and Betty White sang that song.  They are two of my favorite 'old broads'.

I did order the TSV today, hoping that it jump starts my metabolism a bit.

Not much else to  say--hope you are all having a great day.  It's a 3 day weekend for me so I'm excited to get that started, even though I have no plans haha!

You also. I do Peggy Cappys , Yoga For The Rest Of Us.

It is a yoga stretch for older people, but  young people would benefit from it, because it is more of a stretching yoga and I do it after all the exercise i do all week.  I will be tired and hurting and don't feel like doing it, but feel so good after. Nothing hurts anymore.  It's deep breathing, and she worked all the muscles of the body from neck to toes.  You will be surprised how good you feel after, especially when you go into it hurting. I found it on PBS, but order the DVD on Amazon.

Re: WELCOME TO THE JANUARY 2022 EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Friday!

Well today was finally a rest day.  I got groceries and went and had my hair done

Sport bras are my nightmare and Im not kidding.  I am endowed and trying not to have a unibob is almost unheard of and why 75$ for one if you are bigger.   I mean realistically you should change it every day.  So I need like 7!!

Below zero tonight.  We grilled a pizza on our  grill tonight ( homemade) and it was so good!!!

We're supposed to get a big system on Tuesday so more shoveling

Jammies and a glass of wine now... yes I do love it!
