@DrKelli You and I are in the same boat.
Good for you for speaking up for yourself. I've been told before no one likes me which isn't true. They don't like us because we have integrity in our jobs and hold them accountable which is our job.
It's tough when you are tasked with keeping everyone in line. No one likes the rules people until the ****** hits the fan and then they love you for covering their butt and keeping their nose clean. It sucks to give so much for so long for no appreciation.
I'll high five you in the unemployment line if the inevitable happens for both of us. I had to stop spiraling and move on. I updated the resume and have decided to take a couple of weeks to myself to just do me before I make any decisions. I do the bare minimum and working from home has never been so much fun. I'll worry about the rest in a little bit. It's daunting for sure. I'm thinking of trying for a part time position in pharmacy to see if I can just get in the door while this job is seemingly winding up.
I'll tell you what I've been telling myself. We are people no one finds anymore in the workplace. Because of that, no one knows what to do with us. I have to have faith that there is another plan for me and it will eventually be the best thing that ever happened to both of us as you said.
I would definitely start looking. She told you no because they don't want you up and leaving immediately and leaving them in the lurch. But, I am sure they are looking to see what else is out there. Hopefully they find no one and you can continue on doing the great job I know you must do for them.
Employers suck. It's tough to find anyone who recognizes and respects the human anymore in human resources.

Today, I did a core workout. My legs are really toast after the two hour hike, but I may go out and walk the block too. We'll see.
I was so bad with eating too this weekend. I decided it was the weekend of yes to make myself feel better and I may have abused the privilege while food shopping.
But, today is a new day and I have been fairly decent. Workout complete.
BIG HUGE GROUP HUG!
All of this unease and sadness means we have loved and will be loved in new and better ways.
Shout out to a great bunch of virtual friends. ![]()

As @bopper would say....it's let's move Monday! Wet and soggy here today. One storm after a other rolling in.
I was on my own today and did 90 minutes on the treadmill, walking to a hill program and running in between. I really work up a sweat when I incorporate hills. My glutes really talk back to me.
So sorry about your work situation. Been there and it's a kick in the gut to hear that b s from a supervisor (or coworker). I hope the situation resolves in a good way for you soon.

@Laura14 and @DrKelli From what you have written I see two stong ladies, aware of your situation(s) and taking action. I don't know how old you are , but assume needing to to be in the workforce for awhile longer.. What your companies need to embrace is the best workers are what you two are..You show up to work on time and WORK,..
@kate2357 I have never owned a pr. of trainer shoes like that or that brand.. Back in the day I wore Asics alot. Try them and let us know..
Stay dry.. looks like lots of moisture in your area.
@bopper an emotional time for you.. You are addressing it and still trying to help others. I applaud you. Maybe helping them, helps you..
I have a little viral thing going on so staying away from the rec center this morning. More for others there.. I am not bad- but would feel bad if I spread the germs to someone else.
Next Mon I have my follow up ortho appt. I have a list to discuss.. We do have to advocate for ourselves.. whether in our jobs , health, or other.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, all.
I've always been of the opinion that the people in charge at these jobs pick on you when you're new and when you have many years in and are on the higher end of the pay scale. I won't go into the last couple of years on my job. I felt picked on a little bit....and at 67, I was put in a position I didn't want and had to learn a whole lot of new things when my brain was not trying to remember as much as it used to. Almost like the person in charge wanted to make sure that I didn't change my mind about retiring. Her friend was put in my place after I left and she got a new computer and a new chair. I had complained about that old computer several times. I always came in and started work an hour early while other person came in an hour late due to taking her son to his school first. Other stuff, too. @Laura14 and @DrKelli since you're not near retirement time, I hope this is just a temporary problem for both of you.
Went to the doctor yesterday but my appointment was midday and I had broken down and ate breakfast so I'll get bloodwork maybe Thursday and I can be the first one at the lab. I have a script to see a dietician and a suggestion to see a chiropractor for my back. He could see how my stoop could be painful if I stood too long. He gave me the name of a different orthopedic doctor since I told him I feared going back to the one I went to almost two years ago who went crazy with my last knee injection. But he agreed that my main way to help my overall health is weight loss which is affecting my joints and my spine which is shortening. (Last thing I needed was to get shorter, lol). My weight gain was so fast which didn't help my body to adjust to the extra pounds. Ladies, don't be surprised if you catch me on a new My 600 lb Life or whatever it's called, lol.
Have a great day, folks

Happy Tuesday,
Today I did a thirty minute Power workout. Forgot to turn off the tracker, so I got an hour and half credit for it.
I will take it!
I also met my step goal so I am good for the rest of the day.
@Mmsfoxxie and @violet runner I hope your doctors can get you back on track to health. I totally agree with advocating for yourself. If I survive into the new year, I am switching doctors from the new one I picked out after my regular one retired from patient care a couple years ago. Nothing worse than a bad doctor who won't listen to you and ridicules your efforts.

Happy Tuesday! I really wasn't feeling it this morning, I could not go to sleep to save my life, wide awake, and then after I did go to sleep I woke up lots and lots. I dragged myself after 9!!
By 10 I was on my rebounder and after that did a 30 minute spin, and just came in from a 30 minute dog walk.
I think we all need the group hug, don't cough on me though haha!
This weekend will be crazy here. My 7 year old GD will be here Friday afternoon through late on Sunday! And she never stops!!! I'm trying to get some plans in order to keep her occupied so I get a little break.
Waving to all!!

Years ago I had an issue that required I take steroids. Within 10 days I had gained 15 lbs and told my doctor I was very concerned with such rapid weight gain. He poo poo'd me. I couldn't exercise during this time and by the time I came off the steroids I had gained over 50 lbs. As you said, I gained it so fast my body could not adjust and it was a horrible experience. My doctor implied I was just eating too much. I was not eating too much.
I changed primary care providers and she listened to me. It took me a long time to lose that weight, but I did lose it and have kept my weight down ever since that horrible time.
So my wish for you is for you to find a care provider who will listen to you and help work with you to devise a plan to lose unhealthy weight. But it is also my wish for you that you do not beat yourself up if you weigh more than you would like to weigh. The number on the scale does not define you.
Take care.

I was on my own again this morning and because it's raining very hard, I did 30 minutes on elliptical and 40 minutes on treadmill. I find the elliptical so boring...had to force myself to stick it out. When dh comes home we will work on his pt exercises. In between I have packages to wrap.
Hope everyone had a good Tuesday afternoon and evening.

I've been trying to get a few walks in a week, about 2 miles. If I go to a park I love, on the intracoastal I'll get in about 3 miles. I get bored very quickly. My weight has gone up about 8 lbs over the year. Eating the same. I've tried eating less, but nothing comes off. Thyroid normal. Dr said, likely my metabolism has slowwwwwed. Right now I'm sick, probably flu, hardly ate since last Friday, lost a WHOPPING 2 LBS.
I'm not overweight, but im only 5'1, and im NOT liking the extra 8lbs. I've never had a weight problem all my life, was always on the thin side, so this is shock for me.
I have my grandson full time during the week, so it's hard for me fit the walks in, but ill have to find a way...hasn't seemed to help lose weight anyway.
I'm also experiencing something painful on my foot, trying to walk anyway. I go for annual check up next, I'll be mentioning everything.
Need advice on how to boost metabolism ☹️
