Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good Thursday all. Did a gentle cozy yoga flow which was just some mindful stretching and breathing.

I hope everyone has a better day today. Heart

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, all!

@bopper I'm so sorry about Logan.  I hate aggressive dogs.  Lexi was attacked at the dog part several years ago and got 2 puncture wounds.  The owner didn't offer to do anything.

I did get a workout in this morning and I just got a text from one of the people in Groove who offered to split her lesson with me so I can learn the stupid routine.  The performance is a week away and I really don't have it memorized.

It's going to be nice today, but it's going to be winter tomorrow!

Hopefully today is better for all of us.

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Thursday!  Winter storm warning again...

This morning I did the Kaleigh Cowen Holiday cyle ride on my stationary bike and then her 15 minute strength workout.  Worked on my new Bootysprout, that thing kicks butt in only 3 minutes and I'm not kidding either.

Then did my reformer with John Geary Mobility for 15 minutes.  This afternoon i foam rollered.

Thank you regarding Logan.   Hes some better today the medicine is helping him but I"m not letting him get to frisky either.

So much ****** this week.

Next week at the end of the week my son and DIL and 2 grandsons fly in from CO for 4 days so we're cramming a lot into those day.

@DrKelli we're getting your CO low they said.   Thanks for sharing Haha!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Thursday is my rest day. Hard for me to give into it, but I do.   Yes, mild today and possible  more winter- like tomorrow.   Getting holiday stuff done and birthday gifts wrapped. I have 3 big ones in Dec. to buy for!

No biking in the last couple of days, Used my egg weights and walked. I do like them.

Tomorrow is cardio and weights at the rec center. Wish I could say I was trying some new exercise.  There is a stair climber machine I might try. I did buy a new pr of shoes- Saucony.. I am not tied to one brand.  Lately it's been HOKA's or Salomon's.  I haven't  tried Brooks. Anyone have a favorite? I also have Altra's, Asics, and Rykas in my closet too.   I do love workout shoes.!!!

Sorry to hear about Logan.. Agree, I dislike  aggresive dogs.  And their ambivalent owners.

Hope everyone is feeling well and doing fun things.

I am about to purchase a fitness journal for the new year. Maybe I can see where I need some added attention if I write it all down.

   Happy Thursday..

Good morning, everyone.

@bopper, glad Logan wasn't hurt too badly.  The first thing I thought about was Judge Judy when who has a lot of cases where aggressive dogs with bad owners appeared.  The way owners defended their lack of  responsibility or lack of control of their dogs is amazing.  Usually happens at the doggy park.

Seems hard lately to get myself motivated to workout but I'm trying.  Woke up around 3am and watched a Hallmark movie about a ballerina who had to give up her dream to raise her orphaned niece.  One of the better movies.  But I'm sick of overly done Christmas decorated scenes and fake snow.  I threw my schedule off by getting coffee around four.

I don't know what my workout routine will be today.  My stationary bike could use a workout.  I think I hear it calling my name, lol.

Have a great day, everybody!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

TGIF! I did about an hour of Yoga for Uncertainty. I have really gotten strong and stretchy since embarking on yoga and I was pretty proud of myself today.

I have a skin check today in between work. Last doctor visit until February so glad to end all that and collect my insurance bonus money. LOL

One final work day before getting days off. My cold is really waning so it'll be nice to be awake this weekend and maybe do some early morning shopping. We'll see.

Hope everyone has a great end of week. Smiley Happy

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning!  We got a little snow overnight, just enough that I have to go shovel my driveway so it doesn't turn to ice.  I guess the mountains are getting a major storm though.

Got a trainer workout in yesterday and then went for a 'special' dance lesson for the group number.  I just wasn't getting it because it is so fast.  It helped. but now I don't remember it all, so at least I have a video and I wrote out the choreography.  I can't believe the first show is a week away.

I have a dance lesson today, so that will be my exercise and I"m teaching LaBlast tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day--15 days until Christmas!!

Good morning.  Whew, what a night weather wise!

Tornado watch for a little while, hard rain most of the night.  This morning, extremely strong winds.  Hopefully, no wind damage but it's still dark so I can't see anything.  I see on the news that six states got extreme damage so I can't complain.

So what do you give to an 80 woman who has achieved much and except for the year 2020, she still does everything?  She's an author so she travels for business and pleasure.  Anyway, she's having a dinner party birthday celebration tomorrow as she did when she was 75.  Her mom was almost a hundred when she died.  Good genes.  I don't think she expects a gift but I'm feeling conflicted.

Walking with one of my videos this morning.  I really think this 'less is more' routine I'm doing is better for my needs.  I haven't had a knee injection since September, 2020.  I still have an almost bone on bone knee so stairs remain a problem but my knees and feet are better this year.  For weight control I was doing two to three classes, four to five days a week if you'll remember with podiatrist and orthopedic visits a lot.  None needed this year.  Still borderline knee replacement, though.  X-rays don't lie, lol.

(Death toll in Kentucky is more than 50 so far 😢).

ETA:  luckily, I got the death toll wrong.  It's less than 50.  I'm not sure how many.

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@Mmsfoxxie I write in my spare time and I and any author I know love to read. We also love journals and writing instruments. I would give her a nice journal and pen and/bookmark set if you think appropriate or gift cards to Kindle/Amazon or Barnes and Noble would be appreciated by any writer I know.

I am sitting in shock at what happened last night in Kentucky and elsewhere. No one deserves that any time of the year yet alone Christmas. I have said prayers all morning. How lucky we all are today. Heart That system is coming through here today but I don't think anywhere near as severe.

Amazon actually shipped my new fitness tracker! I am supposed to get it Tuesday instead of January. The ones I got as gifts are supposed to arrive two days later. I guess they flew in the trackers ahead of schedule. I am so excited to try it out and get into some different routines. I agree @Mmsfoxxie . Since I've taken better care of myself and respected my moods and limits, much more succesful. I am really looking and feeling better. I keep reminding myself it's okay to treat myself with compassion and care. It really helps.

Probably do Yoga for a Fresh Start today. That's the last really long one on the calendar this month. Get it out of the way and then have normal average routines to finish out the holidays.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Smiley Happy
