Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

90 minutes at my rec center.. some good  weights and cardio today. Have to laugh, when I fist started typing this I said 09 minutes at the rec center. I am sure you all would have wondered how  I  could have lasted so long!!HA!

As with most of you, it's  a cold morning here too.

Not biking weather that's for sure. So I'll get an walk later on.

I agree, I think "stuff" seems to happen more around the holidays. Maybe we all have alot more on our minds than usual.

WW seems like a good program.  Have not done certain diets or way of eating but I am reading more and more about  the Blue  Zones.   Seems sensible to me.  I  know myself and I can commit to exercise, but a diet-I'd be good for about 2 weeks and  then drift from it.  I have done no alcohol  for a month.. Now granted, I usually have 1 glass of wine a day so not too hard  to do that. BUT I do like my 1 glass.

I  support anyone  here and anything they want to  try.  Think that's why most of  us post- Keep ourselves motivated and accountable and learn new  things  from others.

 Have a good Tuesday!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Was so busy with seasonal things this weekend didn't get my walks or anything in.

Back to it this week..

Yesterday did 50 minutes on my indoor bike...wasn't great walking weather.

Today, not sure I'm going to just "get it done" inside or go walk yet...tbc...

Have a good day, all!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning!  Now don't ya'll laugh at this west coast person but I'm freezing!  Had to turn on the heat yesterday, the high was only in the mid-50's which is chilly for us.  We are expecting lows down into the low 30's high 20's by Friday.  Lots of rain and "artic" cold through the end of the month, according to the weather person this moring.  What I want to know is, how does the "artic" cold from Alaska make it all the way down to the City by the Bay?  It never gets that cold here.  I'm getting out my winter sheets today.

This morning I did a 22 minute Body Groove workout.

@Laura14 - hope you feel better today

Take care everyone!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@JudyL  I understand!  I froze my butt off in San Francisco when I visited one August. That bay wind is no joke.

I also keep my winter sheets and comforter on my bed all year long and I live in the Deep South. I don't care. I am always cold. I never turn the A/C on during the summer. I am just fine at 80 degrees.

@Laura14 - had to laugh at your comment about San Francisco in August.  It really is kind of amusing to see people come to "sunny" CA in July and August and not realize that those are cold, foggy, chilly months here.  Can't tell you how many times I've seen parents walk into the GAP store downstairs from my office with kids in shorts, tank tops, and flip flops and come out with long pants, tshirts and sweatshirts.  HAHA

September and October are really our warmest months here.  I live across the Bay from San Francisco, so my weather is a bit different and warmer than the City proper.

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hey all, I almost forgot to post!

I do have to laugh at  you all freezing.  It's 10 degrees here.

Today I did Kaleigh Cohen cycle and strength workout, pilates and Bootysprout.  Walked outside this afternoon.  A German Shepard attacked Logan.  Luckily Logan is okay but we were very scared.  No owner came to get this dog either and it came out of it's backyard.

Pilates reformer tomorrow as it's an active rest day.

Good Night

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good Morning all. Did a short Yoga for Upper Body Strength today.

This cold really kicked my butt and, along with other things, totally sapped my energy so I am taking it slow.

Silver lining, I'm down five pounds. Not the way to do it but I'm not sorry they're gone especially with a skin check on Friday. I hate that appointment but after growing up on the Jersey shore, a smart thing to do.

Amazon charged my card for the two Halo Views I bought as gifts overnight so I'm excited to get them and take a peek as to what I can expect. I'm excited to try some new stuff.

Everyone seems to be having an eventful week so here's hoping things quiet down but holidays are usually not slow. Too much to do.

It's rainy and "cold" (30s-50s) here in the South so hopefully it'll be a quiet day at work. @bopper I haven't even broken out a light jacket yet so there is one sane person who hasn't run for the hot cocoa yet. I love this time of year down here. The entertainment value alone when cold weather hits is popcorn worthy at times. When they cancel school because it dips to the 20s and no snow, I'll let you know. It's a sacrilege to those of us who were kicking our boots at the bus stop in the snow trying to keep warm at negative whatever. Kids today just don't know.

Have a great Wednesday! Smiley Happy

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Morning, everyone.  Low twenties right now.

This morning I have a straight cardio class this morning and some walking.  Less people come to this class so I feel more comfortable attending it.

Have a great day, everybody.

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Hump Day!   And it was a stressful day... Good gried.  I told you yesterday Logan was attacked by a German Shepard.  Thought he was okay until this morning, he has 1 puncture wound on his left shoulder and he's very sore.  Was at the Vet this morning and is on an antibiotic and a pain medication for a week.   I went to the mans house today to confront him.  My hubby said not to, he said just let it go.  I said NO this is not right.   Our Vet bill was 100$.   But I wasn't going to get money from him and in fact I told him I didn't want his money.  I wanted him to know what his dog did to mine and I don't want it to happen to others.  His dog jumped their electric fence.  He told me the dog is great with people but aggressive to other dogs.  He was very very nice and we had a nice visit so all is well there but my boy is hurting tonight.  No workout except a walk without my companion.

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper - oh no poor Logan!  You are a far better person than me - I would have asked for some money.  Wouldn't have said how much to see how much the man would have offered.  And he should have offered whether you said you wanted it or not!  Ok, getting off my soapbox now.  Give Logan a hug and kiss for me

Hope everyone had a good day.
