Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hi all, I was going to rest today as yesterday my cycling was a bit hard but I did 1.68 miles of a jog inside today.  Easing into jogging but not sure I'll stay with it.

@violet runner I looked up the schools and it says they go back the 7th.  Yes and the pillow can arrive when he's gone so then I can leave it at their house.  He'll know after he gets there but so be it!  It sounds like it may be cloudy a few days we are there and chilly.   I hope they are wrong.   We're going to the gardens on the 10th, so I hope it's not raining or snowing.  Already have our tickets.

Not much else going on, taking the afternoon to lay low.  Hope the dermi appt. went ok.

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Happy New Year!   Well as we close out 2024 and enter 2025, I have a lot of feelings.   Some are sad and then some I gave thanks.   My son had a terrible horrifying car accident in July, almost lost his life, but he didn't ( this was the joy that I am forever grateful for)  I still grieve my sweet dad, I lost my forever dog Logan, and still cry over that but I am grateful I had him for as long as I did and I know he is playing with my dad and mom and all of my family up there.  I am always grateful I have a body I can move, I can get on the floor and get back up, I feel safe where I live, I have 4 seasons ( yes some are LONG) but non the less I get the chance to witness them all.  I am joyful I live near the cleanest and largest of the Great lakes, Mighty Lake Superior.  I think we can all get low now and again, and I know i can feel sorry for myself, and slap me when I do please.  With all we have to be grateful for, homes with roofs, food on our table, beauty and glory all around us, I can always feel the Lords love over me, when I can't continue he will carry me.   I am getting a bit mushy here but this is "me" I don't try and be anyone else, I won't change for anyone else, I am proud of who I am, and I am grateful for all of you, and I think you really belive me!!   Love to all, and good Health in this coming year!!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper Your year end post was so beautifully written from the heart. You are a big reason I like to post here!   I hope you have a great trip visiting the grands. I feel for you that there is no school on Monday. That makes for a long weekend. I love being with my grands but they sure make me tired. I sometimes count on my fingers to see how many hours to their bedtime. Haha!

I finally got out and ran 3 miles today.  Too many days resting and eating much more than I should. I have been doing a little bouncing on my rebounder to get used to it and look forward to doing some of the videos you mentioned.

@violet runner Your Christmas hike sounded wonderful. It was good you could enjoy a hike and still work on your Christmas dinner.

@JudyL I have a feeling that 2025 is going to be your year. Sounds like you are doing a great job knowing what your knee can handle and going for it.

Happy New Year everyone!
