Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning.  Did a 30 minute walk at the park this morning.  Saw so many people walking their dog, ground squirrels were everywhere, it was a fun walk.  Beautiful day and supposed to be warmer today.  Should do some housework today but hmmmm, I bet I can find something else to do instead.  HAHA

Wishing everyone a good Monday.

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Hey everyone, it's raining and cold here, 30's.   Goes right through ya.

Restore and relax day for me, I was very sore from the weights.  I used the LifePro Sauna blanket twice today for 30 minutes each session, and the red light lower back belt.

@JudyL  I hear ya on the cleaning, same!  LOL   I admire these who do the big Spring cleaning!

I guess I should have gone back and looked to see who else posted before Judy but I didn't oops Smiley Wink

Tomorrow i have to drive DH to a clients home to measure for blinds, and then to the Y, and then I am coming home!

Have a good one!

@bopper - didn't buy hiking capris at Quince- I got the high tech ankle pant and I wore them yesterday.. love them!! Gonna wear them hiking and walking. I played with my GS outside and all day and they held up great.. I got the gray/ olive color.. I wish there were more colors- only 3.  I also ordered the linen pants to see how they fit- if they don't, I'll return for another ankle pant..  I am 5'8" so it's a true ankle length on me. Sorry for the confusion.

Also the Zuda as is- huge- sending back.. if you order consider the sizing.

Havemy GS all day today- no school day.. Not sure what we'll do- I have a few errands to run.. he'll be my helper..

Okay thanks, I'll go back and look.  I'm 5'8" too.  I looked on Harala site and found some flowy capri's maybe I'll try those and they have shorts with biking shorts underneath, I like that so I don't get 'chub rub'  LOL

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, today was a very busy day.   I brought DH to the Y at 7, drank my coffee by the lake, (inside the car) cold.  Then did a 30 minute functional strength workout and a mile on the tread.   Drove hubby to a appt., went to the police station to thank the officer that saved him, donated clothes to the shelter, and bought bird seed.   It felt good to get back home today.  I am a home body!

What are ya all doing today?

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper  - You did have a busy day.

My knee felt rather swollen when I got up this morning so didn't do any exercise today.  Thought I would do the stretching video but decided not to.  I did Swiffer the floors though!  That's something!  Also went to Pet Food Express and got "supplies" for Willow.  Otherwise, it was a quiet day.

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

I bought some flowers at my local nursery yesterday. Now to keep them alive until I can repot them. One variety , sun patients. goes quickly around here. Last year i missed out- so got those.. even yesterday I could tell the selection was lower than others.  Others thinking like me to buy them early. I usually dont' purcahse flowers until the first week of May

Went to the rec center yesterday- and then a nice long walk.. it was a nice day here.

@bopper Will check out the Harala site.. never heard of it. Have you ordered from them?

Heading out with my hiking friend today.. going to d a more falt land hike as I call it.

Still nice to be outside in nature!

The lilacs are blooming here- the fragrance is heavenly!

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Hi everyone!  Been a busy week catching up on chores and getting everything back in order after the big Easter dinner. Yesterday I got a new phone..Been busy updating apps and today I'll hook up the Bluetooth in my car to this new phone.  I got a 3.11 mile walk in today, Yay, and just came in from doing my horses.  The bay mare struggles with bugs so she itches like crazy.  I had to coat her down heavily with repellent and thick oils and cream on some sores...she rubs herself bloody...drives me insane.

Likely have the vet out to inject her with steroid anti itch...helped her a few years ago...so ill do it again.  Last year I was so caught up with my parents care, I couldn't keep up, so she kept breaking down fencing, waterlines  because of rubbing...the "guy" (hubby)  really was complaining 🤬because he had to keep fixing everything.   I couldn't blame him.  I actually considered giving the horses away.  I just can't do it, especially them being older i worry who would really take care of them...so im back into it and hopefully I'll keep up...Breezie the bay is super high maintenance .

Tomorrow I have an appointment out of town, 100 mile trip one way, so im getting things in order here today.

After my appointment my son inlaw will meet me out for lunch at Long Horn.  He and my daughter live nearby up there in Jacksonville Florida.  She's still in Chicago on business, so he asked to pick me up and go to lunch...really sweet guy.

One other thing I'd like mention...please keep my daughter in prayer.  She's my middle daughter  literally an angel 😇  to me.  She will have surgery may 6th to remove a dangerous cancer on her leg. Ultrasound has revealed a small lesion on nearby lymph node, so that will have to be addressed.   We are trying to make the best of every day and not to worry...I pray shes clean after all this and she can be treated if needed.  Shes the sweetest most caring daughter and person ever!

Have a beautiful day everyone...God willing  ill post back on Friday 🌞

@violet runner  thank you for asking me to keep you posted...I really appreciate that...I just don't want to bring sad news here...please forgive and thank you all!

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning.

@Dazlin - will keep your DD in my prayers.

This morning my knee still felt quite swollen so just did a 20 minute walk around the complex.  Felt safer close to home just in case I had a problem with my knee but I didn't.  It did just fine with the walk.  May do a 10-15 minute walk later today if all goes well so that I get my 30 minutes in.  Walking actually seems to help the knee and the swelling does feel like it's a bit better when I'm done.

It's overcast, gray, & cool.  Maybe it's a good day to read a book.

Wishing everyone a good Wednesday.

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, today is a beautiful day here, finally.  60 and sunny, even to hot for me to sit on the deck.  I get hot easily though, always rolling my pant legs up, while DH is in a blanket!  LOL

@Dazlin definitely will keep you daughter in my prayers, sounds scary.  Sorry about the flies and the horses suffereing with itching.  My sis had to get a fly blanket and boots and a mask for her horse and it's probaby worse where you live.

@violet runner I haven't ordered from them but have things in my cart, I like the idea of a bike short under my shorts to avoid chub rub.  I do like the jeans that I have in my cart though.

@JudyL it does sound like a good day to read a book there, that was here yesterday.

I tried raking today but couldn't do much it kills my back, and DH can't do it at all yet.  Oh well it is what it is.  I'm getting better about letting things go.

Guess I'll head back outside.

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

@Dazlin  if ir's a melanoma that your DD has- they have much better and successful treatments these days..   I had to look it up - its a med called Amtagvi- where do they come up the names of these meds?.. Guess it's an immunotherapy type. I think it's great when our own bodies come into play...I am sure her docs are on top of everything. Got to trust them!

My walk/ hike was nice- but colder and windy than expected.. Cut it short..  Still nice and refreshing!

@bopper  if you order from Harlara- let me know how the company is and how you like the mercandise, I saw a  pr. of jeans that looked promising. I am still waiting on some linen pants from Quince.

Plus I paid my car insurance yesterday for the year up $200 and the car is one year older and I have had no tickets or violations.. I should be rewarded for that. Car is 8 years old and  its a small car..
