Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Palm Sunday!   Took a much needed rest day and continuing my purging of stuff I don't use.   Not there yet but made a good dent today.

Tomorrow hair appointment in the afternoon, Tuesday dog groomer, Thursday Colonscopy, and then Saturday we leave for a weekend to watch our son in Milwaukee.   I hate weeks like this to be truthful.

But whatever it's not the end of the world.

@JudyL sorry about the knee best to not push it.  Has the wind and rain stopped?   Can you believe we got 12 inches in 2 days and another potential storm Tuesday.   I'm losing my sanity really!

Watching March Madness. Madness sums it up haha

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper - you got a lot of snow in 2 days.  Sounds like the Tahoe area here in CA.

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning! Been to the rec center.. I am walking there now that the weather is  better.. Well- at least until tomorrow- calling for a temp drop and possible snow. 1 day to remind us Mother Nature controls things.

I walked and biked this weekend and I have a pedi appt this  morning I plan to bike to.

Got a little more exercise in by hosing the patio and cleaning up some debis and leaves..

@bopper - weeks with appts  is hard for me too.  And I hope  your weather behaves to get your colonoscopy out the way without worrying about driving there.

And @JudyL - listen to your body and  if your knee is snarky- back off and take it easy. My shoulder discomfort is ongoing from my fall in Jan.. I still don't have full range of motion. Hoping time will take care of it.. or  I will just have to live with the limitation.

 That's it..for now!

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Hi everyone!

@Mmsfoxxie when I was on the first cancer drug, I had to take extra Vit. D--it was a megadose that I only took once a week.  It didn't really bother me.  Now I just take whatever is in the multivitamin and sit in the sun once in awhile--more often during the summer Smiley Happy

I did my little 10 minute workout--they are kind of hard.  But at least I got it done.

I'm going to take a couple of mental health days--Friday and next Monday.  I'm just burned out and I feel like my house is full of ****** and I need to do something about it.  I am subbing (maybe--if I don't get more than one person in class, I'm not teaching it) on Friday and my regular class on Saturday.  Of course, Easter is on Sunday, but I haven't been invited anywhere yet.

Hope you all had a good weekend and are having a good day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Good afternoon!  Today I went for a 30 minute walk.  Got all the way to the front gate of the complex and realized I'd forgotten the key needed to unlock the pedestrain gate.  So instead of walking along the estuary and the park, I ended up walking around the complex for 30 minutes.  The only problem with doing that is I see neighors so we chat and I have to talk to and pet their dog, then I saw the maintenance guy and had some questions for him so my walk was really 45 minutes but at least 15 of that was chatting with people.  LOL

Its a beautiful day here - sun is out, cool-ish, slight breeze.  Perfect for a walk.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Hey hey!

@hckynutjohn  so good to see you!  Thank you for always having a positive thought for this group!   It may be small but it's mighty!

Today I did the reformer for 30 minutes and the rebounder for 20 minutes and called it good.

Ice storm coming in tonight and it's already snowing.  I see all these pictures of flowers and people on walking paths and look outside and we are buried in white.  But at least we won't be getting tornadoes.

like a lot of people.

Stay safe everyone

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning, all.  Guess I'll call this Stormy Wednesday since that's what it's doing.  Better clear up before eleven when I have to go volunteer.  That will be my exercise routine.

@JudyL, you're mirroring me a couple of years ago.  Although I still have trouble, every other day I had problems with my knees or feet.  Podiatrist said to rest my feet which I did but sometimes not long enough.  What the body tells you should override what your mind tells you cause the body speaks best.  But it's hard to know which one is speaking loudest sometimes.  Glad you're better.

@bopper, I don't like those weeks that have too many errands in them either.  Retirement's got me kind of lazy but I love having no schedule.

I messaged my doctor to let him know that I didn't see my A1C and cholesterol numbers and he said "oops".  He didn't put it on the order.  No I have to go back to have more blood drawn.  (Glad the lab is only about five miles away).    Hope I don't get the same tech.  First time I said ouch getting blood drawn.  She said I didn't relax.  Well, I never do but it never hurt, I just have anticipation anxiety.

Have a beautiful day!

Re: WELCOME TO THE APRIL EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Wednesday all!  We had a miserably cold day yesterday.  It snowed most of the morning, but because it had been so warm, it turned into slush. I had to drive to the ENT yesterday and people were driving 80 on the highway and I kept thinking--the wind is blowing and the temp is below freezing--you shouldn't be doing that.  Not so good news at the ENT--my hearing has decreased again.  He ordered an MRI to see if anything is there that he is missing.

I did get my workout in today with my trainer because I have to be at the oncologist at 9 tomorrow for updated labs.  Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't snow.  They say it might.  Also--it's supposed to be 80 next week . . .

Hope you all have a good day!
