I showed Lessman's vitamins (I guess they were the multivits) to a nutritionist about 10 years ago and was told not to take them.  She didn't like the large amounts of some vitamins in the mix.  She told me to take just a basic multivitamin like some of the major brands.  I think she said One A Day, but I'm not sure I remember it right.  I do take Lessman's fish oil and co-Q10.

How abou checking with a qualified health care professional?  They have far more knowledge and can profice better guidance than anonymous strangers on a shopping channel disussion board who have no training at all (doing Google searches does not count).

I think you might be surprised at how many topic experts there are on this chat board.

I think I am fairly well read but I try to keep an open mind.  I also worked in the medical field as a licensed medical assistant.  I also did medical transcription work and was trained at a VA Hospital which sees everything and anything.

Anyway...I had a checkup with my PCP yesterday.  I had been in another state for 6 months and while there I had a UTI as well as suffering from intermittent blood in my urine.  I have a history of passing kidney stones 2-3 times a year for the past 10 years.  I have had CT scans, cystoscopies and blood work - all of which were negative because I had passed the stones.

While talking with my PCP yesterday (who ordered another CT scan because of current blood), I asked him about taking cranberry pills or another form of herbal or vitamin supplement. (I take nothing)  He told me "absolutely not".  I am on Xeralto for atrial fibrillation as well as Metoprolol.  He said while on blood thinners there is contraindications with vitamins and herbal remedies.

I have been with him for 15 years and he has done very well by me the few times I have been ill.

So...that's just one person's take on this topic.
