Vacation Canceled because of Snoring

My friends have organized a getaway and one of my friends has decided not to go because her husband says she snores so loudly all night.  I agree, I have heard her.  She feels she would be so embarrassed of her snoring that she just can't go.  Some of these gals are close friends while others are acquaintances and she has not travelled with them before.  She thought of telling everyone about this problem but just doesn't want to.  So sad because she is fun to be with and everyone wants her to go.  Is there anything out there that works that she could try to help her snoring?

Can the snoring friend stay in a hotel room by herself if the snoring is such a problem?

I guess, but they have rented a vacation home so everyone will be together in the house. It would be weird for her to stay alone in a hotel room somewhere else.

I don't know why it would be a problem unless it is a LONG way away.  I  have stayed in lots of hotel rooms by myself on business trips. Couldn't a couple of ladies take her there at night and go get her in the day?  And I think it is wonderful she doesn't want to ruin all the ladies' sleep!  Give her a hug for me for doing that

If she really wants to go, she should consider paying for a single room.  Why does she think it's embarrassing?  I don't understand that.  Snoring is a moral failing or sin or illegal.  It's a medical problem that millions upon millions of people have.  No, there is otc magic pill one can take to alleviate snoring.  But there might be an easy solution.  Your friend should see an ORL specialist.  I know there is a very minor surgery on the palate that works for some people who snore.

She should have be ruled out for obstructive sleep apnea. It's a very serious health concern. Snoring is a big symptom.

That makes no sense at all, it's a ridiculous as saying that she's embarrassed by a common problem that millions of people have.  I think she should tell her friends what's going on and find a hotel or motel room that's close by where they are all staying.  They won't be staying up 24/7 during the entire vacation....lol  They'll all get the shut eye and they don't have to be in the same house to do it.  They can hang out and have a great time and when she's ready for bed, she just goes to her motel room and meets up with her buddies early the next day.

She did a sleep study years ago and sleep apnea was ruled out.

I heard those breathe right strips work for some peope. It's worth a try to see if it will help her. It could be a temporary solution. Are there are any rooms in the place that was rented that is farther away from most rooms or some place in the house she could sleep?

Has she discussed the problem with her doctor?  Surely there is a medical solution to her condition.
