There are infinite possibilities, including the vibrations of the car. A doctor, and/or a nutritionist, could best advise you. Many nutritionists have done hospital work and have experience with GI issues.Thank you for all of the advice everyone. I am glad to know that I am not the only one who has/had these issues or knows where all of the bathrooms are! I was asked if I hate my job-no, not really. It is a very stressful job at times and my boss is a nal (no pun intended) and arrogant but I don't think that is the cause as my problem is most mornings-not just when I go to work. Another poster asked about if it was diarrhea or not-sometimes. As soon as I get up which is 5am I drink a large glass of water w/lemon, workout for about 45 minutes, shower and have coffee while I get makeup, hair and dressed. Breakfast is either egg whites w/veggies, ie tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach and a whole wheat piece of toast OR a piece of fruit and bowl of healthy cereal. By this time I have had to have went once already and think I am done-at least till I get to work but no, not lately. I have tried to trick myself and leave the house 15-20 min. earlier but as usual no matter what time I leave the house I'll get down the road and whammo I have to go NOW. I just don't understand why I didn't know that 5 minutes ago when I was still at home and it was convenient! and private.
I am going to try out these suggestions and hopefully find something that works or at least helps. I also agree that the anxiety this is causing is not helping the situation.

Hyoscyamine is a very old cheap and effective drug for stopping the spasms that give you the urge to go. Alosetron is also a choice. There are negatives with it, but I was in the clinical trials when it was introduced and it aided me greatly. Mainly though urge you to go the doctor and make sure you see a gastroenterologist esp since this is a newer and worsening problem. If it is something more serious, you don't want to pay a heavy price because of embarrassment. We all go, after all.Did the doc mention Irritable Bowel Syndrome? I have it and my GI doc said to use a probiotic. If its really bad, there are psych meds that can be prescribed as an off label use to slow down the over activity of the nerves of the gut.

pegsue, have you tried skipping the water with lemon in the morning? It might be overkill if you normally go once anyway. Just a thought. I have issues myself and tend towards ibs so am following this thread also.

You will need to take the mangesium daily.... I started taking the magnesium for bone health and discovered the added benefit.......
Can I ask what kind of Magnesium you take? TIA.
I take Magnesium with zinc 3 tablets is 400mg and I usually take 3-4 daily...I did try finding out how much was to much but could not find any decent information. I have been taking this for about 3 years and so far I have not had any side effects....you just will have to experiment.....don't over due it.....you will have issues!!
