Re: Update to my Ultrasounds post

Lilac Tree I am so sorry you are going through this ordeal.  You have been inundated with way too many health issues.  I can imagine how difficult each day is while dealing with pain and concern for your well being.  I am keeping you in my prayers and thoughts while sending good vibes your way.  As hard as it is, stay strong and know that many of us here on the Boards care about you.  Heart

When you are done with you're doctor appointment, can you ask for a diagnosis/treatment plan printout?

@Justice4all

That reminds me that the infectious disease doc did not give me a copy of the report she sent to my PCP which I understand is "massive," according to one of the administrative gals in my PCP's office.  I will be seeing her tomorrow and will ask for it then.

@LilacTree, having medical issues and the ensuing treatments and doctor visits can be exhausting.  Get plenty of rest and eat well.  Best wishes in recovery.

@Lindsays Grandma

Thank you so much LG.  I haven't been quite this sick for a while, so it means so much to hear your kind words.

Oh wow, thank you so much cherry!  I will definitely read this.  In fact, I was given a laser printer by my girls for Christmas, so I will print this out and read it in bed.  Thanks again!!

Sorry you have to deal with so much regarding  your health issue....i too know how that is...........Congratulations on your cutting your prednisone down........that is terrific...i have tried myself a couple times to do that and unfortunately i wasn't successful.............as you and i know...even 1 mg. makes a difference!!  Good luck, feel well.....you aren't alone....

@kelsey17

I'm hoping.  I might have to reduce the titration by one-half mg.  Increase to 7.5 for a few days.  Thankfully, I am on a low dose to begin with, but everything I've read indicates that the lower one's dose is, the harder it is to titrate.  Seems odd, doesn't it?

Re: Update to my Ultrasounds post

@LilacTree  I have heard of Black Seed Oil that  helps against strains of bacteria that are antibiotic resistant. Maybe you can do some research on this. I don't know if you can take this but it's worth a try looking in to.  When I was researching this, it said it was effective against p. aeruginosa.

My thoughts and prayers for a complete healing as I have faith this will happen for you.  I know it's very difficult but keep all appointments and trust that all your doctors have looked at your status on their office computer before they've seen you, that they ask so many questions in order to see how you answer compared to what they know....  I know you have courage and I know you're tough (you've been through so much already), and I know that you and your doctors will win!

@Q4u

Thank you Q4U.  I don't expect a "cure," as there is no cure for autoimmune diseases.  But I am hoping for a way to avoid these infections, as I do believe they are far more dangerous than anything I have dealt with for the last fifteen years.  My "toughness" is being tested.
