@gloriajean ----just saw this--- and am so sorry that more treatments are needed altho not sorry as there ARE treatments available---and of course am wishing you the very best. Has your DD healed up from the previous rounds? Is the chemo further apart this time? Maybe 3 weeks will help her recover for the next round. Mine were every 2 weeks for 8 weeks and I was down for the first 2-3 days but after that I could function pretty well. It was the weekly ones that kicked my caboose the last month of 5  on that time frame. But the rads weren't awful--was always tired but what's new? Am thinking about her and you--thanks for the update

Darla has her sessions until the end of June. She has some burn places now and will buy a Aloe Vera plant for the burns.  She hasn't started the chemo sessions yet, it's not really chemo but similar.  Saw her yesterday and she looked good, it does tire her out though.  The machine is uncomfortable for her to lay on and her arms have to be up, has to stay that way for 15 minutes.  She has EDS so that makes it uncomfortable for her. That itself give her a lot of pain.

@gloriajean --yes, I started to burn at about day 21 of the 33. At day 28,  then just  rads on  the mastectomy scar, itself,  for  the last 5 -that was kind of good--was able to leave the other skin alone to start to heal.  I put aqua phor on some of them but then I also used a mixture of oilve oil and a vit E capsule on it too, with my dr's ok, of course---also wonder if a hyrogel burn dressing would help too. You might have her ask for rads dr about that. My burns were dry and not wet so I could put things on  to hydrate them. Also, wore my all cotton t- shirt inside out so the seams didn't irritate me and put on a loose bandage.  I remember feeling fatigued too. What kind of chemo will she get? Anyway--as always--sending best wishes and just keep focused on one thing at a time---Woman Wink

@gloriajean  I hadn't been on the forums in a while and saw your updated post.  I will continue to pray for her.  May God give her strength to keep going through these new appointments and to be strong and continue to be brave for her family.  I know she is in the thoughts of many people all over the country praying for her.  Sounds like she was going to treatment until the end of June, may July bring her nothing but great news and time with her beautiful twins.
