I am sure the Officer will show up as I am also sure he has more then that ticket that day to defend.

I do sympathize with the OP as I once got a ticket for the same thing (and 26 years later, I still believe I came to a complete stop!) Based on the original post, it appears the behavior of the officer was the thing which bothers the OP the most (I may be mistaken), but I doubt the case would be dismissed -- or charges lowered -- due to his actions; the only thing the judge will care about will be the charges.
That being said, I do not believe you have anything to lose by contesting the ticket in court. In fact, I used to live in an area where judges would routinely lower fines and/or dismiss charges for almost anyone who took time to come to court. Additionally, as someone mentioned in a previous post, many jurisdictions will drop charges just for a few hours spent in a driving class.
Good luck!

How does AAA handle traffic tickets? All the years we've had it, no agent has ever told us if you get a ticket, call them. I was recently ticket for driving without a seat belt. Paid the fine and now remember to buckle up.

I truly do not understand why OP is stressing herself out over this. It's just not that big a deal. Go to trial and state your case. Or pay the fine and be done with it. What am I missing here? I'm pretty sure that most of us have received a ticket that we didn't think we deserved and we either contested it or we just did a lot of grumbling and paid the fine. I opted to go to trial twice and both times the case was dismissed because the police officers did not show up. It's probably different in small towns but I got my tickets in a metropoliitan area and they say that the police usually don't show up for minor traffic or parking cases. I sorta of remember the original post and she might have been at fault. I think her real complaint is that the police officer was rude and condescending. I'd pay the fine and write a letter of complaint. And...be done with it.

Once when I was in my early 20's, I got a ticket, and had to go to court.
There was NO "trial", as in 12 jurors, opening and closing statements, witnesses, evidence, etc.
All I did was go before a judge, plead my case, and pay the fine.
That's it.
Wham, bam, thank-you, ma'am.
Another time I got a (parking) ticket, I just paid the fine.
No big deal.

With the exception of 1 time, all of my tickets have happened when I was simply trying to get to work on time. It seems cops always sit on highways at rush hour so they can ticket those of us who get up and go to work everyday which contributes to the economy and BTW helps fund their paychecks.
Honestly, if I had my way, cops would spend more time working cases of the more egregious variety, like those of drug dealers, murderers, thieves.

You probably believe that the police are only out there to get you.
Are you proud of being a confirmed speed addict? Has it crossed your mind that if you kill someone, you are the murderer?
No wonder the police get cranky. They have to deal with idiots, all day long.

When I retire, PA is going to missing some major $$$$ cuz I won't be getting anymore tickets. I sure hope they have budgeted for this shortfall.

Why not just leave earlier instead of always speeding?
After all, the police are simply trying to keep the roads safe, and speeding isn't safe.
