I just wanted to post an update about my breast cancer surgery that will take place on May 23rd. It was originally set for the 11th of May but just couldn't rush into it until I felt like I knew a little more. I have finally decided on having a mastectomy on the left breast instead of lumpectomy. I don't want to have to go back for more cutting if there were any cancer cells in the margins from only removing the tumor. Had a CT scan last week that came back all clear so no little nasties making a home anywhere. Won't know what the treatment will be after the lump is analysed. Am busy getting my house in order and food in my freezer.
