I was just watching a presentation of the Samurai wand UV sanitizer over on the other channel and the presentation just shows them waving the wand over items to sanitize them.  FYI UV sanitizers don't work that way.  You have to hold the light over the area to be sanitized for a period of time.  That particular sanitizer it says 90 Seconds in the dexcripton.  Also, to be effective against Covid the light range needs to be 200-280 nm light and according to the one reviewer of the product this information is not provided in the packaging for the product.

Our reverse osmosis system has a black light to sanitize the water as the last step.

@Nightowlz I wish we had a RO system.  We have hard water and get calcium deposits on everything.  Plus, I would like to get rid of the chlorine in the water for my hair and skin.

According to the FDA there isn't enough info about UV lights and their effects on covid when it comes to deactivating it. How would you even know if it worked or not?

There is no way for the common person to prove if these work or not.  There was no way I was spending my hard earned money on this.  NOPE!

@SilleeMee , I was simply going by these guidelines which indicate that the specific nm of UVC light has been used successfully with OTHER Covids.  It doesn't guarantee that it is effective with Covid 19.

Omg   Me too.  LOL    He's hawking big ones, small ones, tiny ones.  He's on all the time.  Hubby got hooked and convinced his self we had to have one.  So I bought one or him for Christmas.  He can run around the house and have a high old time sanitizing everything.

@Icegoddess

We have had one for years. We could no longer find filters for the previous one we had so had to buy a new one since all I drink is water.

It does taste good. Has to be really cold with ice in it for me to drink it.
