Dr. told me to try turmeric complex with black pepper for inflammation..

Anyone have good  results from it?

Any adverse side effects?

DIL has a lot of allergies..Her face broke out in a rash and her throat was closing.Of course she stopped it.

I took the first one today..I was wondering if there is anything I should look out for?

I use them but, TBH, I can't even remember why.  Consequently, I don't know if they are doing what they should but it WAS good advise to use one that has the black pepper (or there's another name for that that I'm sure somebody else remembers).   I recall hearing that it was imperative for absorption or something like that.

My only complaint - the ones I have are capsules and that yellowy/orangey powder is a bit of a pain so I try to be careful when I put them into my weekly vitamin container thingy.

It will get on your hands and nails, turning them yellow.  I keep one of those disposable clear gloves in the basket with the vitamin bottles so I can put that on for when I handle those.

As long as you are not on blood thinners, and you are not allergic to it, you should be just fine. I heard it keeps certain autoimmune conditions under control and it helps the body to fight against cancer, years ago, so I have taken it on and off over the years.  No side effects for me at all. I believe it benefits the body in fighting inflammation.

I ordered some turmeric curcumin plus black pepper, it said to use as an anti-inflammatory to help relieve joint pain. I don't think it did anything for me.

DH used it for many months with absolutely no difference at all.

He had no side effects but he also had no results!

Finsihed the bottles and stopped.

He said it was a big waste of money.

(Just HIS humble opinion)  LOL

i'm using it and for me, it helps. I use Bio schwartz turmeric curcumin w/ pepper. i use 2 caps per day. i noticed an improvement with in 5 days(3cap per day, to start with) and then i reduced to 2 per day. this brand has good reviews and i believe it was a recommendation, from these boards. Maybe do a search for turmeric, in wellness. For me it was a cheap investment, if it helped with my knee and ankle soreness.

I have used several different brands and found Qunol to be the most potent.

I've been taking Qunol Gummies, Turmeric & Ginger, for three weeks and have noticed less stiffness in knees and ankles. So far there's no side effects for me. These also have a tangerine flavor, which I love.

Due to an allergy to Tumeric I have been taking ginger. It has sort of the same properties that tumeric is to have but a bit less.

I tried it for three months. I didn't notice any difference in inflammation. I did notice that if I didn't take it with my largest meal, it gave me heartburn, which is not common for me. No other side effects. I gave it up. Won't try again.
