Thanks I'll remember that next time I buy this stuff. Right now I am going to give what I have a try, and see if it helps

@LTT1,

The turmeric you are showing does not contain black pepper (bioperine/piperine). That makes this sup not well absorbed unless you are also taking it with pepper in your food or with and additional piperine sup.Woman Happy

How much are you taking? And how many times per day @cherry?

1000 mg  once a day

@cherry,

Most of the credible info I have read about this sup recommends that you take 500mg three times a day with food. You are taking too much at once and that will give you a tummy ache. Taking 1500mg total per day is the recommended dose. Anything less will usually not give results. Taking only 1000mg all at once is also a waste. Your body can only absorb a certain amount at a time. That's why you need to spread it out over 24 hours.

@SilleeMee & @cherry  I agree.  I take my supplements after breakfast and after dinner.  My Turmeric & Black Pepper supplement is 900 mg. so I take twice a day rather than three times.  It works for me, but I also have to take it with a full glass of water, to make sure it goes down all the way.   The total of 1800 mg. is a little more than the recommended 1500 mg. over the course of a day, but still safe.

@LTT1 - Does your turmeric contain black pepper?  I recently read that it's more benefical when it does as the black pepper aids in absorption.  It costs more that way, of course.

@cherry  240 capsules is a little over $67, but it's less expensive that way than to buy 4 60-count bottles, and it ships free.  Plus, my husband shares the bottle with me - 2 capsules daily for each of us.  One bottle lasts us 60 days.
