Tried Simply Protein bars - UGH

If you haven't tried these protein bars, spare yourself!  There was a large box of the three flavors at Costco this weekend, and they're 2 WW points per bar, so I bought a package.

Uck!  They're a sort of Rice Krispy treat bar, and at first I was pleased that for 2 PTS you get a very big protein bar.  But the taste is bitter and chemical.  I'll be bringing them back.

I know, natural is better, but sometimes when I'm on the run a protein bar just fills the void.  I'll be sticking with Quest bars on those occasions.

Didn't know you could return food items just because you don't like them.

I checked the website, you can!  With some exceptions:

Re: Tried Simply Protein bars - UGH

I have been a bar fan for  many years, usually a bar and cup of coffee but  never was really satisfied with  ingredients or taste,,don't like any with Rice Kri--py texture.

Heard on a podcast Hungry Girl about 2 years ago of a bar  At - - s  with 15-16 G. of protein, which I was looking for as I am a senior, plus wanted low sugar(no stevia) this bar has monk fruit, Ashwagandha powdered, and low  net carb, gave the sample box a try and went  on subscription as never  want to run  out,do change flavors now and then.Great website and  customer service, fast shipping, but also sold on A m - z - n . Have to  add  because of low sugar don't have cravings for many hours.

@Mimi NY   What is the name of the bar that you like?  I think you're tryng to abbreviate it, but you can say the name.  You can also say Amazon.  You just can't post links.  I'm not sure what At__s is.  I'm looking for a good protein bar.  I do like Power Crunch.  The Vanilla is my favorite and has 15 gms of protein.

Edited to say:  I found them.  You must mean Atlas.  I found them on Kroger by searching in alphabetical order by brand.

I'm taking a guess that @Mimi NY is referring to Atkins bars.  These aren't so bad in WW points and there are some gluten free flavors so I will try some.

Thanks @Mimi NY  !!

Costco has a very liberal return policy...also you get a paper receipt at checkout and you will also receive one by email so if you misplace it you still have proof of your purchase.....

I can’t remember the brand I tried, but I do remember the rice crispy texture. They tasted like cardboard if you can imagine what it would taste like. Believe it or not my daughter liked them! So, I didn’t return them

My favorite protein bar is by Built.  I order directly from the website but I'm seeing a little shrinkage in the last few orders and I'm not happy about that.  The last ones I ordered were about the size of a finger.  At full price, they're $29.95 for 12 so I think the company needs to grow the bars, not shrink them.
