We were thinking of going to Cape Cod the second week of June. Would anyone know if the traffic is bad this time of year? We've never been there before, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

yes, the traffic is bad, there is only one road in and one road out and that for the most part is a two lane highway. But no need to hurry when you're on the Cape, unless you need to catch a Ferry

Greetings!Try not to arrive on Thursday,Friday or Saturday if you can.Much easier to move around earlier in the week. Also,if you are morning people....all the better!Currently there is construction on the Sagamore Bridge,so the Bourne Bridge is a bit easier to travel over.Weekends are by far much , much busier.Bring your patience if you arrive closer to the weekend!!!!!!(good luck)! It is a beautiful place!

It probably won't be as bad as it could be because many schools don't get out for the summer until a week or two later. I would travel during the week and would not recommend coming on a Sunday afternoon or night. Traffic is often backed up for miles then. Enjoy your trip, it's so pretty there and many things to do.

I don't think it will be bad at all. For years we would vacation on the Cape the last week of June. Now that our kids are in school, we've had to change this to August to accommodate their school schedule.

Last week of June was always quiet on the Cape. There is always some traffic getting into the Cape on Saturdays, but once you are on the Cape you will be in good shape.

Hope you have good weather & enjoy your time!

Hello, I live on the Cape. Avoid coming here on Friday late afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon. They have stopped bridge construction until after Labor Day. School does not get out until mid June so everything gets busier after that. It's beautiful here! Hope you enjoy your stay!

I agree. Best not to hit the bridge Friday afternoons or Sunday Afternoons. Once you are over the bridge, the traffic should flow. The two lane highway can get slow in some areas, but early June you should be fine. I hope we have some nice weather for you and you have a great time.
