I have had 2, both were totally painless, before, during and after, just with novacaine. It all sounds worse that it is most of the time. glad it went well.

Yes, follow your dentists instructions, sometimes rinses don't start right after a procedure because that can interfere with the clotting process. It's very important to protect the clot.

@LTT1 Glad you are doing OK and got it done. I had this about 10 years ago with nitrous oxide. I was sort of awake but don't remember anything except my dentist gently shaking my shoulder and telling me it was all over. She is the best.

Yes...the aftercare specifies not to start the salt water on the first day because to protect the clot.
