I have tinnutis and understand why VanGogh cut off his ear - it is very very annoying!!  You might try Bioflavonoid which comes under several brand drugstore names.  My doctor recommended it for me.  Although it works for some people, I was not successful with it and it seems that my T is getting worse.

I have tinnitus, have for several years.  Wearing hearing aids has helped greatly - expensive remedy for sure, but I also need them for my hearing.  I also take supplements to help with it and after being on them for several months I'm doing MUCH better at night when going to sleep.  I used to require the tv on so the background noise would mask the ringing and then I'd fall asleep.  DH would  turn off the tv once I was sleeping.  Anyway, citrus bioflavanoids have been a successful treatment for some people and that's what's in the supplement I take.  It's called Diosmin & Hesperidin, and I get it from Vitacost.  I take one after breakfast and one after dinner.

Ginkgo biloba is recommended too.

Along with other holistic treatments lke acupuncture and hypnosis.

Do you know if any of Andrew Lessman products have the bioflavanoids or diosmin and  hesperidin @JeanLouiseFinch

@CoastalGal  I usually work in the other direction - listen to Lessman for the education and find the same thing on Vitacost for less money.   Off the cuff, I thought to check to see if he had a circulation formulation, and he does.  However, it's more expensive and doesn't give as much of the Diosmin or Hespiridin in a daily amount than the Vitacost brand.  Plus,  Vitacost often does a BOGO or BOGO 50% off on their house brand supplements and free shipping on $25.  I get all of our supplements there and feel their high quality.

Here are links to the Vitacost version and the Lessman product - comparing 60 count bottles, which would be a 30 day supply with either brand.

Vitacost - Diosmin & Hesperidin

Lessman - Circulation & Vein Support

@CoastalGal  Have you looked at the American Tinnitus Association (ATA) website to see what they recommend?

@CoastalGal I haven't changed anything in my diet for my hearing issues or tinnitus except for adding the Diosmin & Hesperidin supplement.  BUT, don't go just by me or my experience.  You should probably start by seeing an audiologist and getting a thorough hearing test done to see if you need hearing aids.  Maybe an ENT, too, to see if you have any injury inside your ears.

ETA - In case my earlier post was confusing to you, let me clarify that it's not a case of bioflavanoids OR Diosmin & Hesperidin.  Diosmin & Hesperidin ARE citrus flavanoids.

My dad had it so bad he always commented he was surprised I couldn't hear his ears ring. I have a slight case, worsened recently by all of the meds I took for a head cold. I am now taking a supplement called LipoFlavinoid, can't say if it's working yet because they say you have to give it 60 days. "Flavonoid" seems to be a theme here. I had my dad try everything, including Gingko Biloba, and nothing worked for him. I rue the day I wore headphones blasting away and thinking this would never happen to me.

I wear hearing aids that pipe white noise into my ears. I LOVE them.  I think I would go insane if I had to go any length of time without white noise from some source. They are doing lots of research now because so many veterans are coming home with it.
