I use an app called MyNoise ~ they also have a site ~ https://mynoise.net/

It's always present, for the most part, but I'm thinking mine is mild compared to what others have shared.

According to data, the COVID vaccine can sometimes make it worse, so I often post on the subReddit about my experience because there are a few that are reluctant to get the shot. I had no increased tinnitus after having it.

That (bolded by me) is interesting. I, too, have not had any increase in my tinnitus since having gotten vaccinated. I had my shots (Moderna) in April and May of this year.

Today I'm having some time where it's not as loud as it is most of the time. Ahhh. Enjoying that while it lasts.

I had a constant whooshing sound in one ear for years. Drs called it tinnitus and told me to keep noise on like the tv and deal with it. Went to every dr I could think of and finally found out I had Innercranial hypertension due to a malformation in my skull. Apparently not as uncommon as I thought. Effects mostly women. You may want to look it up if it hasn't already been ruled out by your drs.

I had/have this problem and years ago, my dr, told me to cut out my caffeine. He said it would take a couple of days to see an improvement in the ringing. It helps to eliminate caffeine for sure - and F.Y.I. - Advil also makes my ears ring...grrr.
