Re: Time to get ready for tomorrow

@Venezia

I haven't called the doctor's office or hospital yet so it hasn't been rescheduled as of now. I will do that a little later today after my cold brew kicks in. I will make sure they have their decks in a row lol

It's not my birthday but thank you anyway 🙃  that is the name of the Sundae at Braum's.   It's blue birthday cake ice cream on top of shortbread with whipped cream sprinkles and a cherry. And it totally made up for the procedure snafu and the bad lunch 😉

I did fast for the stint. Nothing after midnight the night before and I was to show up at 12:30 the next day for a 1:30 procedure. I knew the time I was supposed to be there. I had printed out the instructions on My Chart website.  I did not get a call from the doctor's office the day before and that is something the receptionist mentioned when I showed up and found that I was not on the schedule.

@monicakm  I bet you looked glamorous and its a shame that the procedure was canceled, but that gives you more time to relax and prepare for it later on.  Did you enjoy your ice cream sundae? I bet it was a nice pick me up Smiley HappyHeart! Thank you for your review of the Juvia's Place blush- it seems like it will take some practice to get a hang of the forumulation and pigmentation.  I love blush whether its liquid, cream or powder so I'll consider giving this a gander Smiley Happy or I'll try a similar liquid blush from the drugstore.  I can go a little heavy on the blush since my ivory warm/neutral skintone wihout makeup is a blank slate since I don't have any natural blush to my cheeks and blush fades throughout the day on me. Smiley Happy

Fried onion rings, cheesecake, and an adult beverage. Yeah I think that combination could make things all better 👍🏻 Yummo!

@Squirrels Are Trash

If I wasn't in good spirits, I certainly am now with all these sweet comments.

And you sound like my dad used to. Whenever I had a bad boyfriend break up and would spend hours in my bedroom crying, dad's answer was to give me money to go buy some perfume or shoes.

the nurse that came to the receptionist desk to try to explain what happened,  said " ...but you look very nice so go enjoy some lunch and we will try to get you rescheduled".

Re: Time to get ready for tomorrow

To whoever it was that said, in so many words, everything happens for a reason, I just thought of that reason.  The memorial service for the young man who took his life is this Saturday.  I had absolutely no clue as to what the recovery would be like or the timeline would be for my outpatient surgery.  I have been worried that I wouldn't be able to make Ethan's memorial service. Now I know I'll be able to be there for my grandchildren and their friends. I've never met Ethan's mother but I want to tell her the first

things I remembered when I first met Ethan where his eyes and his manners.

I still have pictures of him that my doorbell caught.  How do parents get past something like this? 😢

Next time tell them as a diabetic you need the earliest appointment for your stent...something that is well known by cardiologists that fasting can be an issue with meds for diabetics. Also, always call them the day ahead for confirmation. I learned the hard way once in my 20's for a nerve wracking procedure that "wasn't on the schedule." I sympathize with you @monicakm .

So when are they rescheduling for? Your doctor must not think you are in an emergent state, though. Otherwise, he would have fit you right in. (A good thing). But I read you have back pain which still can be caused by heart issues. I found my resolved with stents.
