I read that the Colts, Packers and Bengals playoff games might be blacked out in their local areas because the games are not sold out.
I live about more than a hundred miles north of Indianapolis, but my area is considered to be a "monetary market" for Colts games . Even though it's not within the usual 75 mile radius, the blackout (if there is one) would still affect me. needless to say, I'm not happy about this. The Colts extended the deadline for ticket sell outs to 4:30 today, so I'll check to see what is happening. Maybe I could get the game on the computer, if possible?
I'm surprised that the Packers aren't sold out, but there could be a number of reasons, mostly below zero temps expected at game time.
The Eagles sold all their tickets, so they don't have that problem.
I'm hoping everything gets worked out and I'm able to see the game, after all.

My area is in Packers territory and I get an email daily offering unsold tickets. Its been 20 below several days this week. I'd love to go to a game but not in weather like this.

depglass, unusual for Packers to not sell out. I hope you get to see the game.

Teganslaw, it was just announced that Meijer purchased all of the remaining Colts tickets to donate so the Colts game will be televised.

I just saw the news that the Packers and Colts games won't be blacked out. Glad that it worked out and I can see the game.

All three games have now been sold out, so that's good. The Eagles fans were so hungry for a playoff game they sold out the Linc in something like three minutes according to one of the local sportscasters.

I think part of the problem with the lagging ticket sales for the Colts game may have had to do with the fact that there is an IU b-ball game in Bloomington in the afternoon and the Pacers are playing at home in the evening. Sports fans can only be pulled in so many directions. As good as most of us are, we can't be in two places at almost the same time.
Thanks to Meijer for stepping up and buying tickets to donate to local military families.
Go Hoosiers! Go Colts! Go Pacers!
