Andrew Lessman's Today's Special starts at 9 pm tonight (California time), midnight east coast. Includes a Phytocermide supplement. This one includes Biotin.
Preliminary internet check suggests it might be great for those of us over 35, or those with skin problems. Has anyone taken it? Thoughts? Downsides? Counter indications?

HSN (not Q), forgot to add.

I have taken the Phytoceramides for close to two years. I am not 100% sure what convinced me to start taking these supplements. I am almost 56 years old AA, and fortunate not to have wrinkles.
Two benefits that I have noticed with these supplements would be the skin under my eyes, it was very dry. Did not matter how much eye cream or moisturizers that I used, for some reason that area stayed stubbornly dry and gave me the appearance of dark circles.
The skin under my eyes has vastly improved. Sometimes, I get lazy with taking my supplements because I take several from AL, and the dryness returns, so I know that the product actually works.
The second benefit that I noticed, that I have never heard him talk about and I will keep this observation short and to the point, but it really helps with my regularity. I notice the difference when I stop taking them.
I was planning on replenishing these yesterday, before I was aware that they would be the TS tonight, so great timing for me.
Hope this helps.

@icezeus So useful, thanks for specifics.
I also take several Lessman supps, mostly ones that nourish the heart (coQ10, Omega 3) and eyes. Plus the Essential 1. I also take Magnesium (heart) and garlique (blood pressure).
I've divided my supps into "must take with meal" and "need not take with meal." Helps organize them.

Found several Internet blogs about phytoceramides as a supplement, by medical doctors (dermatologists).
Great explanation of ceramides, aging and skin, and phytoceramides (ceramides from plants).
Seem to be few downsides or side effects (a bonus!).

I take a sweet potato and rice ceramide supp instead of one made from wheat (Lessman's). As far as I know both kinds work similarly with no significant differences. There is a significant cost difference between the two types.

The main reason why there is a significant cost difference between wheat phytoceramides and sweet potato/rice phyotoceramides is b/c it costs considerably more to extract the substance from wheat than it does from the other sources. It has nothing to do with efficacy or quality.

@SilleeMee That makes sense; plus I adore anything sweet potato. I think the sweet potato is one of Nature's gifts to us. However, why, then would Lessman go wheat, I wonder?
The various medical docs I found who wrote about phytoceramides as a supplement, rather than relying on creams or moisturizers, pointed towards AGING as a valid reason—what happens to the skin. When we are lucky enough to age! I'm all pro-aging.

I also take the sweet potato one from Earth Med sold on ebay for a lot less than Lessman.
