I know that some of the gentle folk here were dismayed with the Q's selling leak-proof panties on the air. Well, you might want to give the sister station a wide berth, as this afternoon they were selling portable urinals, his and hers.
I don't have a problem with these specialized products being aired, but just a heads-up if you do.

@Bookplate. lol, Sometimes it's just too much trouble to get up and leave your TV when nature calls.

These are products that are very useful for people who need them. If we all are blessed to live a very long life, chances are we will need them.
When I volunteered at a place with sick elderly people, I found that if they needed to use the toilet late at night, they never "wanted to bother the nurse," and would sometimes fall.

With all the things advertised on TV, I'm surprised the shopping channels are first getting in on the geriatric market.

I've had a hiking/outdoor version of this for many years. While these didn't "hold" any mess, they assist females in going safely. There are times you do not want to expose yourself to the ground. Dr. Oakley, Ukon Vet had an episode in which her daughters shopped for theirs to use on an outdoor trip. So, selling portable urinals is a realistic item for use by those who need them. Surgeries and illnesses require that we adapt to what works for us at a particular time. So, please turn the channel if needed while I will watch and shop if I need to.

I don't have a problem with personal care items sold on a shopping channel. People need those things and I think it's a brilliant idea to sell them. Also people have conditions, challenges, medical problems that think only they have. They feel embarrassed. The suffer in silence. It's good for them to know that many thousands of people have what they have. They are not alone. And there are solutions. I do think the presentations should be respectful.

People may live in a rural area, or the weather is bad, and having access to personal items online or on TV can make purchases easier.
Let's face it, what beats the delivery of something you need ... right to your front door?
The convenience factor is a big consideration.
