Is anyone familiar with this recliner/lift chair that is advertised in magazines in Sunday supplements? My husband and I are in the market for new recliners and apparently we're really picky because nothing we try at the furniture stores is comfortable to us. And that does include Lazyboy.

I would be willing to pay their price (around$2K) if it is indeed as good as advertised. However there is nowhere to try it in person and I can't pay that much without trying it. And I'm pretty sure it can't be returned.

Not asking for recommendations for other chairs - just wondering if anyone had experience with this particular product/company.

I have not tried the chair you saw advertised, but I have a recommendation. Never purchase a chair you have not seen and tried in person. No exceptions. Chairs are like shoes. They have to fit especially recliners and lift chairs.

I've noticed that very few recliners on the market actually fully recline for sleeping. I'd be very dubious of something advertised in magazines or newspapers.  If it was any good, it would be available where you could see it.

@froggy  The one advertize in my local newspaper is called "The Perfect Sleep Chair."  Is that the one?  If not, what is the name of the chair?.  According to The Perfect Sleep Chair ad & their website, you can build your own.

They also have a "return" policy.

According to their FAQ, there is NO b&m store.  It does state that chairs are built in the USofA.

Like you & others have stated, I would never purchase unless I can see in person & try it out first.

Yes, that is the one. Like I said, I would never buy a chair without trying it first. I was just trying to get feeedback from anyone who might have purchased one. I can't even find any independent reviews on the internet, which seems odd to me. We are just very, very interested in finding really good chairs that suit us and having a hard time of it.

I think I'll inquire on my local Nextdoor to see if anyone actually has one.

ETA: And it does say on their website that there are no returns unless defective or damaged.

Always check YouTube.  This is just one "independent" review of many.......

@froggy

Have slept in only recliners for the last 25+ years. Never heard of this one, and have never bought one without first putting my butt into it.

Have 2 powered recliners now, not the lift type. Bought 1 and liked it so well, bought another. Both at our big local furniture store.

Hope you can find a place to try one. If so, give us your feedback.

Recline degree was/is my primary "must have" in any recliner. That is why I always found certain recliners in my many very long hospital stays. I knew exactly which ones they were and walked the floor to find one, if there was not that particular one in my room.

Too many barely recline 45° and I want at least 75-80° incline. Our 2 recliners meet that standard. From there it is all fit and comfort. If it doesn't meet #1?  I keep looking.

I am skeptical of the Sunday supplement advertisements. I would not buy a chair before being able to sit in it and try it out. $2k is a lot of money to spend on something you don't try before buying. What company is selling it?

If it says no returns unless damaged or defective, thatvis a huge red flag. I would keep looking for something you can see and try before purchasing. I am also looking for a set of recliners, but have a small room for them...most I have seen are so big, puffy, and ugly, I may never find one I like. Happy hunting!
