The Perfect Sleep Chair vs a Recliner

For those of you who for medical reasons, have to sleep in a recliner, have you tried the Perfect Sleep Chair?

Ever since my rotator cuff surgery, I have been sleeping in my recliner.  I tried one time, to get in the bed, and really messed my shoulder up, so it is back to the recliner.  I saw an advertisement on TV for the Sleep Chair, and wondered if anyone had tried it, TIA!

I couldn't comment on that brand, but years ago my dad bought my mom a lift chair recliner and that chair is magical. Almost soon as I got comfortable in it, I would fall asleep. My mom has never slept it it overnight, but she does nap in it.

@Hooty

Not sure if you've read my many posts about sleeping in a recliner. Been sleeping in many different recliners for around 30 years now. My present one is motorized so I can adjust the angle of my feet along with the degree of incline. Wife liked it so well we now have 2 of the same in our patio room.

She still sleeps in the master bedroom, but I cannot lay in any type of bed for more than a couple hours. Even at that it takes time to get fully functional again after getting up.

Even during my many 3-4-5 week hospital stays I slept in a recliner, except for the 7+ days I spent in ICU. I knew which were the best recliners in the hospital and I always managed to find one. During 1 long stay I even went to another floor to bring that type of recliner into my room.

This Perfect Chair?  Way too expensive to suit my budget, but it looks like it is built well and had many 5 star reviews. I can buy close to 4 of my present recliners for that price. If your budget allows it might be worth checking it out. Now if someone wants to gift me one!

Keep me posted if you decide to go for one. Have a good weekend.

@hckynut , Thank you for your great reply, and I guess I have missed your posts about you having to sleep in a recliner!  Yes, I checked this chair out on line and it really sounds like a great deal with great reviews, my DH has given me the ok, but I'm not totally convinced just yet!  My recliner now is a La-z-Boy recliner with remote control, but parts of my feet hang off, and I am not that tall, which causes my feet to swell, so I am a bit concerned about that!  I really appreciate you replying to me, I know now I will not be alone if I have to sleep in a recliner for the rest of my years!

Re: The Perfect Sleep Chair vs a Recliner

I’ve never heard of the Perfect Chair. Unless being in able to sleep in bed was going to be a permanent thing, I wouldn’t invest in one. I spent a little over 6 weeks sleeping in the recliner following ACDF surgery. I tried a bed wedge and a bunch of pillows and just couldn’t get comfortable laying down while wearing my hard collar. The recliner worked fine for me.
