I think another round of the court mandated mediation starts today, but I can't find any confirmation anyplace. I'm pretty sure it was May 16th that the next round was to resume and that would be today. Hopefully the two sides will decide to get this thing settled. Maybe the lack of talking about the mediation is a good sign? Maybe they've decided to settle this thing behind closed doors without the back and forth volleying in the press? Or maybe the court has given up and there won't be any more mediation. That would explain why no one is talking about the session that was scheduled for today.

I want this thing settled and the minicamps and training camp to get started. I want free agency and trades to take place. I'm tired of this nonsense. Maybe, just maybe the lack of nonstop blathering from both sides is a good sign. This work stoppage has already lasted longer than any other in NFL history, so both sides can claim they held out longer than ever before. Hopefully the mediation will take place today and progress will be made. The two sides really aren't that far apart. They should be able to come to some sort of compromise and settle this thing.
