The 4-7-8 Mantra for stress management = Works for me!

Place tongue on roof of mouth. Inhale to the count of 4. Hold breath to the count of 7. Exhale to the count of 8. Repeat a few times.

 

This is really helping me during those times when I'm having some stress or anxiety. Works great before going to bed, too! And you can do it anywhere at anytime.

 

A dear friend of mine who is undergoing cancer treatment and is a certified Reiki instructor passed along the tip.

Thanks for the tip, also EMF, emotional freedom tapping helps ease stress as well, you can easily learn this on youtube.

I heard a radio psychologist discuss this on her program, she called it square breathing, breathe in to the count of  four out to the count of four repeat 2x....supposed to help you slow down your breathing and help you relax.

Place your tongue on the ridges just behind your front upper teeth instead of the "roof" of the mouth.

 

Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth, which will make a "whoosh" type sound.
