about 6 months ago I hit my big toe in my left foot and it swelled up and got black and blue for weeks and weeks. Sore too! I never went to the doctor... just figured it was sprained as I could walk on my foot if I lifted my big toe up... it still bothers me in some shoes months later. Never realized how delicate and sensitive our toes are until you hurt them!

Hope you feel better soon! Sounds like you really did a number on it!
