I take Tamoxifen.  No real problems with it...I am flying next week and wondered about blood clots...i know one should move around the plane as much as possible...(about a 2.5 hr. flight).  Anyone ever dealt with this before?  Just wondered...I take a daily baby aspirin...maybe I should take a full dose.

Are there warnings on the packaging?  You could also call the pharmacy or you doctor's office to find out and put your mind at ease.

Have a great trip!

I agree, ask a medical pro. I will say, when I fly from SeaTac to LAX it's about 2-1/2 hours and I don't need to move around. I DO stretch my legs while sitting and if I need to use the restroom, I do, but that's it.

@bargainsgirl  I too take Tamoxifen.  I just wear my compression sleeve where I had my lymphnode removed due to breast cancer.  I also wear compression (legacy brand) socks when flying.   This helps with circulation and yes, of course it is good to move about when possible.  Though today I find that flight attendants frown upon it.  I've resorted to leg movements while seated.  Look it up on line and it will show you what moves are good for your circulation when flying.   Best wishes and happy travels.

I would recommend compression socks.

@bargainsgirl I think taking a whole aspirin right before the flight might be helpful since you are on Tamoxifen. Just make sure you eat before you take it and no alcohol. Alcohol is a blood thinner too. Or just have a drink and no extra aspirin. If you have any worries call your doctor’s nurse. Have a nice trip.😊

It never hurts to call the Drs office to verify.

Check with your doctor or nurse and then once you are at ease just have a great trip. 🙂

I would definitely recommend wearing compression stockings.  Also, while you are sitting on the plane move your feet up and down and move your legs, too.

I took Tamoxfen for a year and the side effects were really bad for me. I talked to the doctor and we agreed I would not take it any more. My legs also aached every night. The side effects from radation also not so great. I would call the doctor and ask. By the way I went back on a low dose of Estrace cream twice a week.
