Re: Tailbone pain after fall

@hckynutjohn  I agree with you regarding pain killers ,opids or even nsaids.  I too feel that if I feel the pain I will not overdo it or injure myself more .   No it's not fun dealing with the pain but I do however that our bodies can heal itself .  I don't mean for everything of course,  but I like to give it a chance too .   I have only used the topical anti inflammatory gel I was given for a foot injury  and only a couple of times a day and not everyday.  .   I have not even taken Tylenol which can even bother my stomach ,  I am very sensitive to medications which is challenging for me and my drs .    But I do ok ,  life is good !

I appreciate your input you seem to understand obviously have had many medical issues throughout your life .  Happy Spring💐

Re: Tailbone pain after fall

Mom cracked her tailbone at age 91 in a fall at her independent living. Severe pain that lasted 3 months. She lost lots of weight during those months; pain often causes weight loss in elderly. She progressed from wheelchair to walker, but she never again was able to use a cane only. She also required help in showering, which she had never needed before injury. Be careful out there if you're over 65. Our bodies do not handle injuries the way they did in our youth.
