Hi all .... just checking in again to see how you're all doing. I was discharged from in-home P.T. this week and start out-patient P.T. 3x a week on Monday. My incision looks tremendous and the little strips they put on it after they took out the staples are almost gone. Each time I shower, they lift a bit more and I cut it off. I can now take the trash to the dumpster, get the mail and walk half way up the block before I'm done in. I'm finding that stamina is the biggest challenge right now, in addition to getting the knee to bend to 110 degrees. I've made it to 97 so far. I was in pretty good shape pre-surgery but this really takes the "wind out of your sails" re. your stamina.
The other thing I've noticed, and I'm wondering if you all have this ..... by the end of the day the knee aches. I sit in my chair and put ice on it (a bag of frozen peas), and take Advil, but it continues to ache. I'm not sleeping so well at night now because I can't seem to get comfortable.
So, that's where I'm at .... how about you all?
Oh, one other thing ...... I am as bored as a gourd!!!!!!!! YEOWEE!
